Congrats Amy and Parker 💙 I met my husband junior year in high school. Kind of a long story so bear with me. He was from another school using our auto department. The auto class, welding, and ag classes were in the same building. I was in ag. He approached my friend and I outside of auto class right before school was about to end for the day. He said "Hey whats up" I looked over at my friend Maddie. She looked at me and laughed so I laughed, and he walked away. That sounds mean but I was speechless and I had no idea what to say. I felt terrible. I had seen him a couple times during my ag classes and thought he was quite the looker so I contemplated whether or not to talk to him. School was about to end for the year and auto ended early for him so I didn't get to see him sadly. 😂 Later on I was at the gas station and saw him. He stared at me, I stared at him. I almost asked him for his number but I chickened out. I was a loser at school and had never been in a long term relationship. Nobody had ever really shown any interest in me so I assumed he wouldn't either. I went home and debated on whether or not to add him on Facebook. I asked my friends in auto/welding what they thought about him and they told me to steer clear of him and that he was bad news. I didn't listen. I finally got the courage to send him a friend request and a message. I didn't have a working phone so I had to wait to get home to use the computer. When I got home I saw that he added me and messaged me back. I asked him if he wanted to hang out. A week later we did. We sat in the back of a truck bed for 6 hours just talking and yeah he farted in front of me that very first day too 😂 I still have a picture of me an him from that day that he took. He never takes pictures now 😂 Almost 7 years later we are married, have a 2 year old, and just bought our first home. Let me tell you it hasn't been easy, but you don't get great stories out of an easy life.
This is by far my favorite episode of the Yee Yee Podcast! Soooo happy to see Amy and hear from her and learn more about the (almost) newest Smith! I hope we see much more of her, on The Smiths and on the podcast! Parker and Amy seem so happy and I’m so happy for them! I loved hearing their story and learning more about their relationship! Y’all had some good romantic couples at the end! I have to go with the new Beauty and The Beast…or Lightning McQueen and Sally (Disney fan!). Always appreciate a Yee Yee podcast on a Tuesday evening. I see Tyler is wearing his hat more in the style we're accustomed to this week. Appreciate it! I like Parker's face during the intro. Seems like he was really unsure how things could go knowing the crew he spends his time with. Amy is a great sport to go along with all of this. She'll be a great addition to all things Smiths. Tyler was on fire this week. Much more used to him being a listener, and this week he jumped in and took the lead a few times. He asked some really good questions. You can tell he's an Amy fan. Hayden had some interesting choices this week. I'll give him that. Great episode! Really enjoyed the opportunity to hear a little more of Amy's story. *IMPORTANT* I’ve noticed with the last few podcasts I’ve watched that the volume is low and I have to turn my phone all the way up and be in a quiet room to be able to hear you guys& it’s not my phone cuz I listen to many podcasts& watch many of TH-cam videos & I don’t have a problem hearing and my volume doesn’t have to be all the way up with the others so I’m not sure if you guys can raise the volume but if so please please do it!!! Well I guess that makes how I met my husband really old lol now remember I’ve been with him 20 yrs and married for 16 years but back when we met they had these phone lines you called& you leave a brief description of yourself and who you are& ladies called a different number than the men did& it was free! After I did my recording of who I am I got back numerous messages but one stood out to me cause of his deep voice so I only responded to him & we exchanged phone number& he called me but it was late& I had to work the next day& wasn’t gonna answer but I did anyway& we never got off the phone until we both got to work& so I got to know him thru his voice only no pictures & he kept telling me he looked like side show Bob from the simpsons but at that point I was already starting to like him so it didn’t matter& we met up and no he didn’t look like side show Bob instead he was very handsome & I was relieved but by the end of our first month together we were telling eachother “ I love you” & look at us now!!! 20 yrs later!!! So it can work even without a picture or knowing what they look like.
