If you're from the squad that met Matt in the song "As the world Caves in" and you can't stop listening to all his songs, give it a like. It's even a cause for astonishment how he is underestimated, the boy sings A LOT!!!!!!!!
something about the end just.. really gets me. 'there might still be hope - there might still be Hope..' the violins are brilliant in it, the sharpness of them just... really bringing attention to it, in this wonderful doomsday sortve way.
I know everybody else is saying it but it’s ridiculous how underrated this man is. I honestly and genuinely cannot think of many artists better than him. From the instrumentals to the vocals everything about his music is absolutely brilliant. Hope he gets everything he rightfully deserves
I like to think this is about an immortal somebody - vampire, or someone who's been blessed (cursed) with immortality. They've outlived everyone they ever loved, and then outlived the rest they loved, and have taken to solitude. But they're so lonely, but they know loving people only ends up in pain. They're jealous of mortals for being able to live their lives but finish their stories, while they are cursed to live forever, doomed to a vicious cycle of lonliness and loss. The 'there might be hope' segment could be them finding another immortal, or finding a way to finally die. This is an incredibly beautiful song :)
This song also reminds me to be glad of my mortality because if I live forever soon everything I’ve ever known will be gone and then I’ll start a new life and then the cycle begins and never ends.Newr the end you can hear the notes screeching and to me it almost sounds like the end of highly suspenseful scene.
I love your interpretation of this song. It's beautiful (: In my opinion the message is more simple and obvious. It's a message to people about how their lifestyles contribute to climate change and how the decisions we make now mean everything to the people who will come after us. The "I can't worry about decendants whist I worry about my feelings" is referring to how selfish we can be when we choose convenience over aiding the environment for future generations to live comfortably. The "we are not alone" means we can all make affective change if we all tried, and "there is still hope" means that although things are bad right now, we still have a chance to fix them because we are not yet at the point of no return. I love how everyone can have different views of the same song. It's so interesting.
LYRICS🥀 And when all the roses die And the last of us have lived our lives They'll be spaceships in the sky For a few of them To give Mars a try No more prom, there's no crows Should have bought the electric car Oh, mortals, oh mortals Where did all go so wrong? Didn't think this far on Can barely think about today Mortals, oh, mortals Didn't do nothing wrong Just tried nothing alone Don't wanna laugh along today And I'll see you in the park Saying last goodbyes To all your dogs Maybe we'd have hit it off If old Mother Earth Hadn't got so hard But I can't worry about descendants Whilst I worry about my feelings Oh, mortals, oh mortals Where did all go so wrong? Didn't think this far on Can barely think about today Mortals, oh, mortals Didn't do nothing wrong Just tried nothing alone Don't wanna laugh along today Don't wanna laugh along today Where my little clothes Check up on my phone We are not alone We are not alone Take my shopping home Wash my kitchen floor There might still be hope There might still be hope
“there might still be hope, there might still be hoooooopeeee” is literally the best part of the song. the entire ending of this song is amazing, in fact the entire song is amazing, made me cry so many times. keep up the good work
I’m in love with the whole song but damn the emotions that i feel thru 3:00 to the ending is insane. Such an underrated artist, i hope to see him live someday.
Imagine the ending of the song to be an outro of a villain that just won over the hero and there is no hope for the hero, but endless posibilities for the villain.
Why did i think of the fact that this song reflect of how we mortals destroy earth, so we move our planet to mars with the spaceship and regret that we should have saved the earth. but not everyone can go on the spaceship. so we say goodbye to the dogs and leave the earth in hope to find a new place to start it over
Warning Promised Never Land spoilers up to season 2 episode 2 Okay but in the song near the end where he sings ‘there might still be hope’ reminds me of the scene of when Emma and Ray find out that there’s a world safe of the monsters that eat humans and how when he sings ‘We are not alone’ also reminds me of that scene because they find out about all the other humans in farms and the human world.
This is criminally underrated
Cool
agreed
No it’s not. No dislikes, see!
