This was a modern day Salem type witch hunt. They destroyed Lucy’s life and took everything including her honor & any self worth. There is literally noting they can give her back now or compensate her with that will make up for the 10yrs of hell they put her through or the trauma they put the parents of the babies through. Bad enough losing your baby because of gross medical errors but to be led to believe an innocent nurse was a murder .. the nurse that was empathetic and kind and it was twisted into a psychopathic behavior that she was somehow enjoying watching their pain and suffering.
Lucy is going to need a lot of help mentally when she is released to get over such a huge traumatic event that has gone in years . I don’t know if it’s possible to get over that and recover mentally from. They have literally destroyed her life or any prospects of a normal life .. meting someone/ marrying /kids /her home / he career /her reputation and a whole 10yrs of her life caught in it with false accusations and people/friends/colleagues all turning against you with hate and hurtful remarks all in full view of the public and published in the media . Even her arrest and behavior was judged critically and harshly and she was polite /cooperative / timid and quiet .. she wasn’t surprised because she knew she was being investigated and questioned for a few years at that point .. but people judged in every reaction and response cruelly having her guilty before any trial or hearing of evidence. She couldn’t win .. the whole world has literally turned against her. I really do not know how she has surprised until now.
Even that “celebrity married dr” who was obviously flirting with her that she thought was her friend.. they threw that her her yet she was single and free , he was the one married and also in a position of authority above her and much older ! He was also the one that made huge gross medical errors that definitely were the cause of at least one of the babies deaths that he had to have been aware of and decided to pin it on lucy .got on the stand with a fabricated story about alarms and Lucy standing at the cot it was like a game of cluedo and not a medical scientific explanation of how she was responsible.. turns out the liver laceration wasn’t caused by Lucy and blunt force trauma with sone un named medical instrument but rather his unskilled blind needle aspirate done without X-ray guidance on the right rather than the left ! Not a very good dr there doesn’t even know his right from his left ! She was criticized for shedding a tear and he lied under oath about her ! He pretended to be her friend and then stabbed her in the back who wouldn’t be deeply hurt over that. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was getting vengeance back because she wasn’t giving in to his inappropriate advances . He had a least 2 parents seeing him for wrongful deaths .. who better to use to clear your name and continue to be a bad dr going under the radar of any investigation.. and get rid of the nurse he fancied that rejected his advances after all she was getting smarter now and calling out bad practices on the unit .. she was dangerous for his career and his marriage to keep around . Now he doesn’t look as much of hero portrayed by the media does he .. not after the world renowned neonatal Drs called out his failings and bad medical care .. makes all he said on the stand look exactly like what they were fabricated lies. A narcissistic, manipulative, liar and really unskilled bad dr . I hope he is charged with perverting the course of justice and lying under oath. I also hope he loses his medical license for the really poor medical decisions he made that caused the death. He needs to be held accountable as does the so called “expert “ witness Dewi evans .. another disgraced dr .

Also, stress and overwhelm causes 'shut downs' in many autustic people - when Lucy comes out with one word answers when being cross examined, it reminds me of a shut down. It's impossible to think clearly or formulate answers. It's even difficult to have an argument with someone during a shut down for this reason - let alone be questioned by an aggressive prosecutor!

As an autistic woman myself, I've lost count of the amount of times people have misinterpreted my flat affect resting face. We have lots of emotion inside- but it doesn't show on our face. Also, when something sad is happening, we don't often cry until later. I think the theory is that the overwhelm in the moment of all the senses prevents us from processing the sadness. Later on when our nervous systems are regulated again, is when the tears come. I always think that when Lucy's accused of not crying about the babies in court.

@cupofteawithpoetry I must admit I have struggled with the autism theory simply because of the photos of her before this happened and the testimony of her closest friends.... mental health issues and certain medications can also produce the same effect - although if you are autistic i must listen carefully to what you say as you possibly may have a far deeper insight than I
Its definitely a consideration and to be honest Blacksquarable also had the same thoughts as you regarding Autism. Really insightful thanks Liz 😊

@@tasha24-7 If you check out the female phenotype, you'll see there are differences to the stereotypes (which were all based on males). One big difference is that autistic girls / young women usually mask more to fit in with their peers - so often at that age we're sociable and as animated as anyone else - we mask and cover our autistic traits, although our quirkiness is usually visible - just as Lucy was described. Also, we can come over to those who don't know us as being quite beige - just as Lucy has been described. Also, autistic people are statistically more likely to be bullied and scapegoated. And we often make unintentional inappropriate comments when stressed - like Lucy did with colleagues and parents. But because we generally appear neurotypical, when these things happen, we're seen as rude or arrogant - like Lucy. And we're more likely to make complaints if we feel something is wrong - we don't see or understand the notion of hierarchy, so we're more likely to do something like report consultants. We don't think about the consequences often until it's too late...

Tasha….again….i think this was your best video I’ve seen…..slept in it and thought about it…..that hypothetical woman coukd have been anyone….anyone suffering from a form of trauma disorder. There is a term they are putting all these under ( ie PTSD, complex PTSD, and there are more)….I am not sure they label these trauma disorders…it might be called something else….need to do more research
But basically, there are biological reasons why those who suffer from it act and think the way they do…..PTSD used to be thought if an anxiety disorder, and you got anti anxiety meds for it…..now it’s under the trauma heading and you should only get enough anti anxiety meds to lightly dampen your symptoms and maybe none at all….it totally depends on the individual and is not a cookie cutter method….you need to get to the root or cause of the disorder to treat it….you need to do certain types of exercises per say….such as talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy or others to create or dampen certain neural pathways so you think better. The trauma can lead to depression and so maybe small amounts of ant depression medication may or may not help……..it’s exciting new research, much of it done following the experience of soldiers…..trauma changes the parts of the brain that are more pathways from lower to higher levels of brain…..ie limbic system which controls a lot if memory, behavior, emotions…..Lucy appears to have the signs of something related to trauma…..the New Yorker magazine tells it quite well…little noises set her off…think of what a cat does with a noise or disturbance……cats are also studied to understand human emotions in a primitive way……they haven’t been changed by humans the way dogs have been
All mammals to some degree respond to an immediate threatening situation in the following manner…..it will save your life…yiu can’t use your higher human brain functions to think it thru, no time, you would be dead….you must use sort if your midbrain, in conjunction with adrenal glands and peripheral nervous system…..think of being startled as an example
All mammals respond with the following 4 manners…..I think they maybe adding a 5th one soon…..flight, fight, fawn, freeze …..with fawn meaning acting like a baby deer that hides when mom is away…….many times when women were assaulted by men they would extinctively either fawn (give in) or freeze….they can’t help themselves, it’s biological and probably saved their lives…..if a woman would to fight back….the man is stronger and could have become more violent….sadly though women are told that it was their fault they did not fight back……I think it’s a good example of what happens to women who are accused of something, if they don’t act like a man or in the way a “ normal” woman would do, people dont like it…..sadly we woman don’t have the strength of men and fawning to some degree is a protective adaptation…..another great point you brought up….. yes, this person can’t use higher brain functioning to think it through….its stuck in the halfway part called the limbic system….sorry about long post….but it got me to think…..you hit it , bulls eye…..she should not have been put on trial until she coukd process the trauma…..unfortunately many in the psychiatric community just throw pills at people and are not up to date……I doubt they gave her the necessary therapy and maybe yes….light sleeping pills, light anti depressants……if that girl became incoherent so quickly by missing a few days of her drugs, she wouldn’t have been on mild stuff….i bet heavy stuff…….even if fully medicated in a week….no way coukd she even function then….thank u for providing me a place to voice my opinions

@@jar942 wonderful comment Jenny, thank you so much. You are so on point.
I think the biggest thing for me was what a massive change in physical appearance from older photographs and clips taken in happier times.... as well as testimonials from her friends and loved ones who had known her for an entire lifetime.....
In the first police footage I saw.... the one where she said she'd had knee surgery, she looked a bit zonked out... I presumed painkillers.....
This issue is completely complex and utterly profound.... and as you say is about so much more than Lucy’s case.
Big love... and nice to see ya
Thanks for being so kind, I think this video may have come across better because I'm more confident in the subject matter... my last role was in social services
      Have an amazing day 💛

@ explains it all……you worked in social services. I think I know how your brain functions….may I ask what your capacity was?
My last job wasn’t just a chart reviewer….i also had to be part nurse, part social worker…..no bedside nursing….instead I had to meet with families, talk with patient, assess the situation….how safe would it be for them to return home? Any physical or psychiatric issues? Have any potential medical or equipment needs, transportation needs, financial needs, language barriers,,,,etc etc etc…. In other words…I had to anticipate discharge needs way ahead of time…..get them thru the hospitalization in a timely matter……would like to know what u did….would love to compare notes….i take it…you were out in the field ? While I was hospital….

@ another great point u just said,,,,she’s changed in appearance….I am upset that they just put out an article….interviewed a prisoner who is in prison with her now,,,,,she’s changed says Lucy’s a bit weird…..my god….who wouldn’t be, after going thru that….i think I would be violent….lucy appears to be sort of fawning…..again…..that’s why I like cats…..they are so mammalian….so primitive….explains human behavior on a basic level…

@ thanks again….you pose great ethic points….i sleep on them….there is a biological explanation for it…..your subconscious works on the issues and you wake up with the answer…….lucy was probably so zonked out….she was sleeping but not really sleeping….with sleeping meds and psychotic meds….you can’t get the correct type of sleep that allows your brain to do certain things in sleep or aware subconsciously…..no way she was thinking with a full deck……no way did she have real capacity….shame on them….they so took advantage of the situation….thise bastard cops and prosecutors…..hope u don’t mind the swear words….light sleeping pill or light anxiety pill now and then okay…,sometimes you have too just calm down,,,,but unless you are bipolar or schizophrenia…psych meds should be used with great caution…,,they are even finding that antidepressants meds don’t deliver like they say they do…..finding out depression, it’s a brain chemical thing that’s causing the depression is total BS…..it’s more complicated

@jar942 we seem to have similar backgrounds... I started in science switched to health including rehab, then education then social services.... I started my journey in social services in a 'pilot scheme role' which was geared at keeping people out of hospital and especially as emergency admissions by utilising some of the fantastic community teams...then Adult social services older people and mental health.. I finished by landing my dream job working in safeguarding ( there was a reorganisation so I was lucky)( I was also still 50% in the community too)...so I didn't lose skills and was shared across 2 teams but I loved safeguarding so much..... I thought id really made it... it was such a privilege to hold that position even though I was still considered the rookie.... then I got mugged..... then I got sick ..... it took such a long time to access health services that I left.... I should've hang on in there and maybe I would have been pensioned off... but 8 didn't know just how ill I would become, then my parents got cancer, ...... I got divorced.... my life fell apart a bit.... and I decided I would make myself useful in another way..... so here I am.... but I'm not done yet..... and im recovering and getting stronger everyday......
I imagine I must have at least 30 years left please God..... so I intend to finish this life in style..... as a thank you for being gifted such an extraordinary life path..... honestly its been intense 🤣🤣🤣....... after such a long time in the game it sort of starts to become second nature......... 🌺
