I'm just lovin his playing - and that unique blend of stride styles he brings to the table.
Loved walking on the sunny side on this rainy day in Florida.
A genius of our time!
One of the primary objectives, that is FREEDOM FROM AND IN TIME,is certainly accomplished here.Study and Relish yall, study and relish........
1:05:22 anyone else catch that Tatum quote? From Elegy th-cam.com/video/aNAJlqn0nO4/w-d-xo.html (at 2:00 in on that recording) I could tell from the first time I listened to Sullivan that Art was a huge inspiration for him, you can really hear it in his style moreso than any other pianist I can think of.
Some art, some Fred hersch, some Jason moran. And a whole lot of Sullivan originality
He likes his dis chords scattered here and there.
^May be he knows Thelonious, Aki, and Martial.
I should like to have him as teacher
