I love that most of the Western figures are fairly realistic, and then there's the Cowgirl, who looks like she walked out of the Grand Old Opry in 1950.
Great list! I see a few CMFs I missed first time 'round. Fort Legoredo is still one of my favorite sets ever! It's up there with my Yellow Castle and Galaxy Explorer. It came with TEN minifigs! Even without buying extra, it felt like a big Western community all by itself. That gambler with the card suits on his vest was awesome. Pretty sure his name was Dewey Cheatem, lol. When I find some of these, I'll have to rebuild it! Another excellent video. Thanks!
@@BrickingUpBrad , RIGHT???? Yellow Castle and Galaxy Explorer are cool and have priceless sentimental value because my mom bought them, but Fort Legoredo is just an objectively cool set. You've got enough calvary for some 'F Troop' shenanigans, enough bandits for a card game, lotsa of cover for a shootout, a cell for a jailbreak, and a dozen other things. It's really a lot of fun! I think it works really well as a display piece OR a playset.
If Lego ever makes another Calvary set “like the civil war ones from fort legoredo” oh heck nah I’m buying EACH OF THE SETS and I think that if they made a new western theme it would be good for them
Recently I've been slowly acquiring all of the 90s Western sets (almost done!) and since the next step is to create some Western MOCS, this video was super helpful. Thanks!
Happily, Funwhole has stepped in to fill the Western theme gap with a whole line of sets. On the one hand, I'm surprised Lego hasn't bothered with this theme in ages, on the other, it makes sense since it's such a tiny niche. The Western genre as a whole doesn't have anywhere near the hold on the public's imagination, at least in the US, that it used to, when Western movies, TV shows, books, toys, etc. were everywhere :(
You forget 3 minifigures the taco Thuseday mariachi from the Lego Movie CMF series 1 and the mariachi from CMF series 16 and the mariachi from CMF series 2
And also the Flamenco Dancer from cmf series 6, Pinata Boy from series 20 and possibly the explorer from series 2. The regular Abraham Lincoln from the Lego Movie cmf series 1 is also an option
I think a fun idea for the silver on calamity drone could even be that she’s wearing valuable silver that people want to rob. At least I assume silver was valuable during that time period lol
I think the Constable and to a lesser extent, the Royal Soldier could also work for the Western theme. Many American police departments used to make use of British style uniforms in the late 1800s, something which is shown most prominently in media in RDR2, and the Royal Soldier's gun puts him in the same era as the Western theme even if his uniform isn't perfect, so he could easily be a Canadian soldier, or if you give him a different hat, a Canadian mountie.
0:04 Thats not TNT thats dynamite. TNT doesnt explode when on fire, soldiers somtimes use it as impromptu firewood. Which is a bad idea because it is also toxic as hell.
These western minifigures are great The bandit and sherrif are probably my favorites Lego should bring western back I actually gave some of the pieces of fort legorado, it was with bulk pieces i got
It should be noted that the era we think of as the "wild west" extended a bit into the early 1900s, so the news boy with his newspaper fits right in, and rather perfectly
Wild West is one of those fake eras that historians don’t really use, but arguably the years of Buffalo Bill’s Wild West so 1883 to 1913. Or somewhere between the post Civil War end to WW1. But yes Newspaper boys are in that era.

Right😂😂😂
You say that like it's a BAD thing! 😁😁😁

I wish they would redo legoredo! It’s such a cool set!

The CMF's need a reboot. So many cool figures that were way ahead of their time.
I have never thought about Lego rebooting those. I think just redoing some of the old ones with better details would be cool though.
One of my all time favorite themes Wild West/Western. I missed out on those LEGO Movie sets. Awesome video!
Those Lego movie sets are awesome! Most are pretty cheap!
I actually do use the news boy torso for a few different western figures! There's alot different leg pieces that pair perfectly with it!
That’s great!
Man, I'm old. Back in my days, Lego figures either had hair or hat. :D
Lol
Thank you! this was just the list i was looking for. added all of them to my bricklink wishlist
Love these videos make more videos on making western worlds
At some point I will!
Awesome vid! How have I never seen that fortune teller before, gonna see if I can nab one.
Yeah it’s a great figure!
Wow, the Sudds Backwash gif is great! Have never stumbled across him in all my Bricklinking before!
Right!!! So cool! I just ordered the set he comes in when I found out about him!

Oh 100 percent!
Cool video very interesting to see all those great sets Im missing a few western sets id like to make a western village.

The papper boy is vintage new york. Just have it be news from up north and it works great.

Id say my favorite figure would be the chief with his beautiful headset
I just subscribed can’t wait to see more
Hello from 🇨🇦
Chief is pretty awesome!
Indeed wish I had 2 of them
These western minifigures are great
The bandit and sherrif are probably my favorites
Lego should bring western back
I actually gave some of the pieces of fort legorado, it was with bulk pieces i got
I would love a Lego western icons set! The sheriff is awesome!
We need lego to bring the western theme back
Agreed!
FYI, Funwhole and BlueBrixx have whole lines of Western sets.
Howdy partner 🤠
Howdy!!
THIS IS A VERY GOOD VIDEO
Thank you so much!!!
You forgot the mexican with his maracas! 🪇 Still great video 👍👍
I think it’s nice that the robot parts can be used for yellow figures.
Right so good!
I know this video is about CMFs, but the Toy Story 4 version of Woody and Jessie are good western figures as well.
For sure.
I love your video. What’s your favorite western movie?
Magnificent seven! Any of the three that were made!
I am scared to look up how much more I’ll need to fill the gaps in my CMF series 1 collection which is only lacking Western and Clowns.
It can be a lot😅
I'd like to see an official Red Dead Redemption set someday :)
That would be crazy
Hank Haystack 5:40
I wish Lego would make a new Western theme. It's been too long and I need my cowboy fix!
That would be cool but I don’t think they will
We need more western! Great vid!
Agreed! Western is the best!
I feel the highwayman from series 17 would be good as well
Agreed! Forgot about him since I put him with pirates!
No mention of the Highwayman
I talk about him in my pirates one
@@BrickingUpBrad interesting, i thought lego themselves once described him as a stagecoach robber
The fact that two of the figures in the thumbnail aren’t even CMFs. Edit: there’s a Lego movie CMF series?
Yes there are😂😂 one for each movie!
hey, I recently made a Yellow Castle Fortress video that you might like, also another awesome video!
Nice!
great vid, yee haw🇨🇦
Yee haw!!
The joke if you find any gold it’s mine come from phineas and ferb
Glad some one got that😂
What about the vidiyo series 1 and 2 they have great westerns figs discowboy en discowgirl
Not cmfs that’s why I’d don’t talk about them
It should be noted that the era we think of as the "wild west" extended a bit into the early 1900s, so the news boy with his newspaper fits right in, and rather perfectly
Well then scratch what I said in the video😂😂

mohawk.
Great figure
