  • This is a near perfect example of a 1950 White Demonstrator Farmall Cub . International Harvester used a lot of advertising campaigns to sell their tractors to the public, but one of the most talked about in the collector community is the Mid-Century White Farmall Demonstrator Tractor campaign. There is no known documentation on which specific tractors were painted white.
The "Mid-Century Sales Promotion" were made in the first three months during 1950. For this campaign demonstration tractors were painted white instead of the usual Harvester Red color. IH hoped that the white tractors would stand out, and draw customers into dealerships. The slogan was to paint them White stay in the Black and sell them RED.

After watching this I had to check out my 1950 cub tractor I purchased for a parts tractor. It was made in November. I hate to use it for a parts tractor... it fires right up and runs strong. I'm restoring my dad's 1949 tractor and could some minor parts. I saw this beauty in Sanford last week. Good gracious was it hot that day. lol

I have a '50 that I was hoping was a former Demo, but it didn't fit in the serial number range. Just bought some more parts for it Friday. Hoping to have it serviceable for next year.

@@kennethmoles4643 yeah it was just those numbers that fell into January through March of 50. There was some that were red in between but not many that I'm aware of.
