This is a hard one for me! I really really love this show and unlike other shows which NEEDED to end, I wanted spend a few more years with these ladies!
improv actors (e.g. abbi and ilana) would disagree. "yes, and" is your only instinct. it's up to the audience to keep up. "no, yikes" makes for poor improv/audiences.
soth1 sol yes, but the complaint is not about the girls, they obviously kept up and took it where it needed to go, but I agree with the complaint about Trevor’s abilities. Lol! I never really watch him, but love the girls and I’d watch it again for them, but i don’t need to see Trevor interview anyone else again. Or at least steer clear of trying to be funny.
Whaaat a weird interview. Lol. (Especially the final 20 seconds) Wish Trevor didn’t fixate on the damn hats for the sake of humor and instead actually attempted to further understand the metaphor and actually have a interesting interview. What a missed opportunity to have a truly in-depth conversation. Kind of annoying, oh well. Why am I talking to myself? Who even reads this??
So they began with a web series of Broad City and I guess some seasons later got picked up by Comedy Central and now after 6 seasons are worth $3 million.😱
"I have a secret to tell you. I'm bisexual." "Are you? So then, you have experience _both_ being a woman in a relationship _and_ being in a relationship with a woman?" "Huh. Well, yes. I do." "You sound like a good source of advice. Do you mind, then, if I come to you for guidance from time to time?"
Did anyone else want the wearing hats deep dive to end way before it did? That was like watching a comic bomb on stage but way worse. I'd be pissed if I were them.
I mean I got it. You develop all these skills on one show (you wear a lot of hats) and then when you do a different project, you can JUST act or JUST edit and then grow in one realm (wear a lot of hats as just an actor or just an editor, etc). I don't know why it seems like he was confused...
he wasn't confused about the metaphorical meaning but about the image of actual hat stacking. if you take the stack and just turn it horizontal, you won't be able to stack a new row of hats on it.
@@hannam9140 Ooooooooohh. Right I just assumed they were laid out in stackable form, but you're right that a horizontal hat would fall over. You smart.
You know, there _is_ precedent for a hat serving as a metaphor in a program. Remember _Doc Hollywood?_ "It's like... It's like..." "Like a hat." "Yeah. Exactly. It's like a hat. Your _grandfather_ wore it, your _father_ wore it, and now you're stuck with it, but it just doesn't _fit_ anymore." "I hate a tight hat."
Ok I don't know what the show is but since we're talking about stacking hats I guess that's what we might see regarding this show. Also Is this where "Yasss queen" came from? Had no idea. It just became a meme and I didn't know why and I just found myself saying it to my friends
I totally got it-- they are talking about doing smaller roles on a variety of projects, or, different combinations of roles on a variety of projects, both separately and together. Having their own empire.
I only liked this video because I love these two and the show! But Trevor my love you definitely made things awkard with extending the hat bit. #cringeworthy
Okay what is the purple? A flap? Was it attached to the top? I saw purple in the back. What is she covering up? I’m looking at the top more than listening to them. Hahaha
Her dress reminds me of those cartoons where people are wearing a barrel. It's like a purple barrel. It's probably full of hats too. That's 11 minutes of my life I'm not getting back.
Her "Skirt" reminded me of homeless people or .. street promoters somehow, in a weird way. And oh, this just proves that it's easy to sell woman anything.
The stacking hats discussion definitely encompasses the weird and awesome humor of Broad City.

i couldn't stop looking at the dress
Me too thought she was disabled... nothing against disability but ..ok let me stop
@@mareshalite she's stylistically disabled doe.
Looks like a double sided bib
That's a dress I thought it was a pillowcase
Couldn't take her seriously in that... Someone was too lazy to sew the ends together so they just left it hanging at the sides 😂
I absolutely adore them both and will miss them DEARLY on broad city together 😩😭😭😭💙💙💙
This is a hard one for me! I really really love this show and unlike other shows which NEEDED to end, I wanted spend a few more years with these ladies!
love the show! even after 20 seasons it wouldn't be enough. :(
You’re skills combined make you two the perfect “Master Show Creators”. You both can help create a new generation of kickass shows and movies.
now they have a promo video for their new line of hats
I am going to miss them so much...YASS QUEEN 😭😭😭
bye felicia ;)
@felicia me too. but they will have new cool projects. they are not gone :)
Yikes, Trevor's comedy instincts checked out when he ran after that hat discussion.
Yeah it was awkward to watch!
improv actors (e.g. abbi and ilana) would disagree. "yes, and" is your only instinct. it's up to the audience to keep up. "no, yikes" makes for poor improv/audiences.
pretty sure that was part of the joke though

What kind of dress is that?
It's like an oreo, but instead of a black cookie, they used two pieces of pink cloth and put some white stuff between it.
I kept thinking she had a pillow in her hand
Modern fashion man - beyond comprehension
It’s a pillow cover 🤷🏾♂️
And the dress is weird to

So smart loved the hat analogy.
The hat stacking part made it feel like the Abbi and Ilana from the show impersonating the real life Abbi and Ilana.

May your hat stacking be prosperous and uhhh joyous
I completely understood that hat metaphor!!!
Same haha. Poor Trevor.
So they began with a web series of Broad City and I guess some seasons later got picked up by Comedy Central and now after 6 seasons are worth $3 million.😱
... but they spent $40 million so theyre really worth $-37 million
I discovered this show in 2023 & it was brilliantly funny

have you ever actually watched improv? awkward is your girls' entire bread and butter. revel in it. disservice? they would absolutely disagree.
I didn't notice the dress until I scrolled down
How did he miss the hat analogy?

Ok this hat thing went over my head. Love BroadCity and the gals though!
Anto theja I got it first, but then they lost me too. It got too silly.
keep up! improv comedy (-based interviews) will go down rabbit holes often.
why is this so hard to understand , she explained it so well
Last time I was this early hasan minhaj was still on this show
These two a great example of what it means to be woman
I love them both and Broad City! I'm sad sad :(
I love them both. I want movies!!! Preferibly Netflix. With alot of feminist topics, F Bombs and ALOT of crazy scenarios.

Damn, now I can’t stop thinking about how to stack my hats better.
Kudos to the designer, but she shouldn't wear it bc it takes away the focus from the conversation.
@Mary Robertson I think it's because ots distractingly goofy, and very atypical. Things that are novel fundamentally attract more attention.
Hats of to that hat explanation
I think they forgot to stitch the front and back of the dress? LOL
OMG I get the Hat description xD

Did Ilana pin a towel over her chests to keep Trevor from getting distracted?? 😅
