Watching you walking around in all that mud reminds me of how fun spring can be. With more snow storms forecast for us this weekend I can honestly say, I am ready for it. Could it be possible the noisy calf was just asking for a belly rub?

I'm missing the screech monster hutch cleaner kind of like that🤣😂. 💯On the witty remarks......that calf though....she gonna be a bossy cow. Really great video tonight, needed the chuckles. Ashlyn, what’s the purpose of those 4x4’s in the hutches? Just to prevent the bedding from coming out as far? Like I said before, I worked on a dairy farm and of course their were calves, but no where near the volume that you guys raise. That one calf sure was funny haha. Thanks! Great video.
Yeah so that is the purpose of the design. Doing that allows us to scrape the lower part of the hutch. But looking back we wish we would have just build a level hutch like the new Calf Barn we built.

They do use lime. If I am not mistaken, they mix it in when he goes thru with the woodchuck attachment.
