They used to have this in the Palmer house on an old DVD. I am a direct line offspring of the Cataloochee Caldwells. I have heard so many stories.

I'm a Dyer with ancestors from Haywood, Murphy, Hiawassee, Suches, Blairesville and other small towns in northeast Georgia and western North Carolina. I'm a proud Appalachian.

I have never been to Cataloochee, but I am going to go. I am a Palmer. Possibly some of my relatives were there.

I knew Flora Messer Morrow. At the time of her death in 1994, she lived in Newport, Tn. My mother took her back to Cataloochee several times for the reunions. Miss Flora lived to be a few months short of 100 years old. She was born Nov 5, 1895 and died August 23 1994.
