I loved Phil's joke!
Thank you Kathleen and I like your name🥰
Kathy and Phil thanks for the videos! A few questions:
1. How long do you let your canvas dry before sealing?
2. How do you tighten a canvas if it’s sagging in the middle?
3. If you need to wash your canvas,
How long do you wait to wash?
What do you wash it with?
How do you know all the oil is
gone?
How long do you need to wait
after washing to seal?
I let mine dry for 2 weeks and i never use any type of silicone oil:}

I just discovered your channel and have been watching your videos. I tried paint pouring a few years ago But really never pursued it. After watching your videos I really want to jump in again because you’re getting such cool cell action. I think that’s what was stopping me as I wasn’t always getting the look I wanted using silicone and a torch. I love that you are sharing all your recipes and I plan to order some supplies through your Amazon page! Thank you so much looking forward to many more of your videos.
Thank you and my pleasure 🥰

You ARE a wonderful teacher! I've watched so many videos and love this art, but have yet to try my first one. It's too expensive for too much trial and error. You give simple, consistent instructional explanations. Thank you! I feel a little more brave after watching you. I think i missed how you made up the white magic tho?
It is simply white paint and Floetrol.
I definitely saw Poinsettia! 😄❤️
Yes
Wow that’s stunning new subscriber
Welcome and thank you 🥰

I have a question. Where do you get your Behr 8300? Im having a heck of a time trying to get it. Ive called Behr and they have been trying to help, home depot has tried and haven't been able to so far. Home depot has the 2-8300 but i was told it wont work
In in Kingman, if that helps
Oh my the way y’all are very interesting.
Thank you.

Good evening from Aussie Land ....Magnetic Island 🏝 👍....
Hi Elizabeth 🥰
Kathleen, thank you for this. I was just wondering as to when you use the Vivid poly pour?
You can use it for any type of paints and pigments 🥰
Awesome video Kathy! I would like to know about the other paints like arteza, amsterdam,golden...do you use the same ratios of vivid pour and rust-oleum for the DSWP technique? I have watched the video several times and I know you use other brands than the color arte pigments but I want to make sure it's the same components. Thank you so much!
Billie, yes the recipe is the same for the paints and pigments i use.
@@PaintPouringbyKathleenMiller thank you!!
I enjoyed both of your family way of talking, amazing creative “artwork on a spin “
Thank you Naseem 🥰
Hi Kathy and Phil: My question is, when would you use a different color activator, other than black, and why? Just wondering if black makes the painting more vibrant or is it just your preference? I have learned more from you and yes, and yep, I just got a puppy pool. Can't wait to use it. Just need to watch you videos a few more times. 😁
Sandy, I use the black or white cell activator if I have used a lot of colors for the pour. If I am going for a more focused color scheme, I will use a complementary cell activator color.
@@PaintPouringbyKathleenMiller Thank you so much. Please keep doing what you're doing. Thank You
Question: how do you keep canvas on the wheel without coming off while spinning??...love your videos!!!!
Here is the spinner & pool video. It will demonstrate it.
th-cam.com/video/PD6VAZrTN_0/w-d-xo.html
Hi Kathy, is that a popsicle stick that you are wrecking this with? I believe it's the 3rd video. Soooo many cells! Love it.
Use now use a stick with a flat end and a pointed end.
Oh my those are awesome....is that with your cell activator one more ? What house paint do you do for your base/pillow.....thank you brenda
Cell activator is in every creation and the base paint is in my videos description 🥰
So, I wanted to tell you that I heard a tip on resining, if your ever worried about your canvas sagging in the middle, resin the back of the canvas first. I thought that was a good tip. I’ve yet to try it, but it sounded like a good ....
That's interesting.
Kathy, Can you tell me what is a good thing to prop your coasters on during the resin process? I am having trouble. I guess I am afraid of it. I believe my problem may be the fact that my dominant Rt. Hand is semi paralyzed. Any suggestions appreciated. I am fairly new to acrylic pouring. Thx. In advance. Mary Wiepert
Put them on cups🥰
Great video and team work. Thanks. Why do you paint the sides of your canvas black instead of showing the paint? Do you varnish and resin or just do one? And if only one medium - then what determines which one you use?
My preference
Can you use your triple xxx and the Vivid for Prizm pour products?
Yes
I must have a mind similar to your husbands oh, it's funny he'll ask a question and I just got done having that same thought. I'm so glad you guys are working as a team it really does help on this end I assure you it really does. Thanks for all the hard work. Now I have to go back to Walmart I got semi-gloss.ugh
Thank you Kelli🥰
@@PaintPouringbyKathleenMiller you said in your video you guys were from Illinois do you mind me asking what part of Illinois? And please don't tell me you relocate it somewhere warm. I live in LaGrange Illinois
@@kelliquinn1342 we lived in the crystal lake arrr we a and now we live in sunny Arizona and we shovel sunshine 🥰
Spell checked changed the words and I mean sunny warm Arizona 🥰
@@PaintPouringbyKathleenMiller I love the comment we shovel Sunshine that's hilarious. My big plan was to escape out in Illinois as of this upcoming November life takes you into four ways sometimes. Every time your husband says something I just puts a smile on my face to see the two of you band ring that's all I can say thank you
Regarding your white activator troubles.
Possibly the angle of your hair dryer blew the color paint out from under the white. The white activator may be heavier than a black activator.
🤔
Reminds me of a butterflies wing
Yes it does.
In your opinion, which gives you better results. Resin or varnish? How long do you have to wait? before you varnish on your finished product?
Resin at least a week🥰
Thank you for the resin tips !!what to do..I like how you say wash your painting if you use silicone..Ugh I have not used it in a year ..I just don't want to wash my painting with dawn dish soap then find the problem spots and use Windex or rubbing alcohol then pray that I got it all if not painting gone ..I had to leave the gard way..I choose to use Riley Taylor method paints that cell and American floetrol and assis floetrol ❤️ another good tip from Phil today about the grinder..I have been using razor blade with heavy gloves on.. another thing you aren't wearing a mask I don't wear one.. Unless I can't open door and window s..I see people who these huge respiratory breathing apparatus..I will put one of those masks they use to spray insulation I think that should be enough..My husband wants me to tell you he loves you stained glass.. Trying to get him more involved 🙏
Thank you for your kind words and thank your Husband for me 🥰
❤
👍🥰
I use oil in alot of my canvas paintings and want to resin them. What do I wash the canvas with?. I use alcohol to wash a canvas with oil for cells, to re use the canvas. But this can change the paint. I don't know what use use to wash a canvas. Please answer....
I don't use oil paints
If you have a larger canvas that isn’t stretched tight how do you tighten it back?
Try spraying the back of the canvas with water.
You said to when rsining your canvas to wash your canvas. What do I use to wash the canvas? Dawn & water?
Correct!
Can those tiles be used as a decorative back splash in the kitchen instead of a coaster?
Yes
How do you fix an area that was damaged while drying because it was accidentally touched - just the base white coat..
I have never had that problem so I don’t know sorry Debbie🥰
Love your work! I swear I see a bird in your pseudo swipe! Do you see it as well?
Thank you Toni🥰
I just went to walmart and they don't sell colorplace anymore can you recommend another brand and is your base paint interior or exterior paint?
color to go from sherwin williams:}
The Boom Gel stain...is that basically like Unicorn Spit? Have you tried it?
Sorry, I have never tried Unicorn spit.
So after watching the bloom technique, I see that you did not give the recipe for the CA. What are the amounts used for that? And is this American floetrol or Ausie floetrol cause there is a big difference . Thank you
Nancy my new CA will be available in my Etsy Shop soon under Black Magic and White Lightning 🥰
Can u use the spray can gloss varnish?
I don't.
What technique is that first long piece you varnished? it is stunning!
Thanks. It was just a swipe.
How long can your pouring medium keep? Without colors?
I really can’t answer that cause I use mine right away🥰
Kathi with your color art primary elements that you get and the kits they send you a thing of poly pour what do you do with that poly pour
Christie the instructions are on the back of the bottle🥰
@@PaintPouringbyKathleenMiller OK thank you that was an awesome video put all together like that
When using the varnish and I see you have cells and I'm not sure if you use a cell activator or you use your Australian floetrol do you have to wash it because I know some people say you have to wash it if you're using a cell activator
If you use silicone but I don’t use that anymore 🥰
Hi Kathleen and Phil! Love your channel! Looking for a pet pool. Is 48 inch large enough? 63 is the next size. Would love your feedback!!! Thx!

Hi I am finding the Rust-Oleum QT TPL GLS Polyurethane 284482 hard to find it's out on amazon but it shows Varathane triple thick it's looks the same except the brand name the rest of the can is exact match do you know if it is the same ?
