    I think the sets seem to be getting better as they look more displayable, but damn I'd kill for minifigs

      At least the train and maybe king boo’s set could definitely be more displayable.

    I have almost all the Mario-theme sets. My 4yo son loves Mario games and he plays with lego Mario characters everyday. They easily break apart when kids actually play with them, and they end up with lot of missing pieces after awhile.

      Good to get some perspective on these in action 👏

    I am 15, so i still have the viewpoint of a kid, but i LOVE the course builder theme, and with the exception of the Boo's house i love these sets. I'll be getting only the Roy-castle one because i missed on the Chain-Chomp, id like a fifth toad, Roy would be my 6th koopaling and i dont yet have peaches castle yet. Im also one of those people that thinks Mario shouldnt be a Minifig line. Of course id like to get Mario, Luigi, Peach and Bowser as ones, but lets say a Goomba would look really off in that style.
    EDIT: So i watched the video, i really agree with the chain chomp, its my least favourite enemy so far, exact reason i didint buy it then. Also i really like the cube look! they wont make a perfect sphere so if they wont do that they will go in a diffrent style

      Yeah it’s kind of cool to have everything in this abstract, cubist aesthetic, but it would be nice if it wasn’t the ONLY aesthetic.

    Dude, Boo's castle looks good for display. Its good. Much better than what they were.

      There’s clearly so much potential. Imagine minifigs in that set, like a Luigi!

    I don't think you mentioned this but in the new wave there is also 3 new Starter Courses (Digital Mario, Luigi & Peach). The original tech will already be outdated 😆💀

    I really like mario but these sets are just really unappealing, mostly because of the weird gimic they decided to do. Id rather them have regular minifigs. The only one that looks kinda cool to me are the big bower, and the air ship but they are way too expensive for me to get.

    Tbh I hate the lego mario theme all together
    I am thinking about the haunted mansion set here just because I like that it can close up and the floating couch is cool. As for the bowser train I love it but can't justify buying....kinda how I feel with any mario set I may have interest in.
    The whole scanning gimmick for the mario theme would have worked so much better with zelda instead. Not just because I prefer zelda but I think building dungeons for link to go around scanning pieces like opening chests and collecting keys for doors or "magic items" like bombs and light arrows or something.
    That to me seems to fit the whole gimmick of the theme better than mario speed running levels that you build

    • @Danielewa.builds
      @Danielewa.builds หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow I never would have considered Zelda as an alternative for this technology. 😅 Way to think out of the box

    I wonder if these sets are geared towards those young kids that are experiencing the Mario world for the first time. They will be going through the games and enjoy the connection. Or the parents will see that they are playing Mario games and get some Mario Lego sets. But as for adults I don't think many are going to bother. The train does look the best.
    I do agree with you on the technology things from Lego. They come and go that it is more of a gimmick. The trains have been through so many iterations. I am having to think hard about buying more train sets.

    6:18 who cares. Its for kids to enjoy NOW, not to collect and play with when theyre 40. I mean who would wanna play with that when 40. Its for kids, and they play with it, and have fun now, not later, theyre not thinking about resell value.

    I honestly think that the Lego Animal Crossing is just downright disgusting is overpriced compared to what you'd get from other lesser themed sets.
    I have genuine reasons why the Lego Animal Crossing set is just hideous. However Nintendo Soccor moms are going to buy it anyways. Sigh.

      @@sakugabuilds Huge fan of Animal Crossing have been playing the game since Gamecube. I've played them all except for New Leaf, and Pocket Camp.
      I am also a big fan of Lego.I just want to make that clear.
      I know that other Lego Themed Sets have way better attention to detail.
      To me there is a lot going on with little to no direction.
      For starters the set doesn't have any additional base plates or space to place your character within the set. I see that these base plates could be linked up together, which is fine.. But again there is hardly any room for the figure to stand or pose or create an interactive playability. Something like Rosies house has no space for her figure yet alone a 2nd or 3rd figure.
      If you want Isabelle you have to get Fauna's house set.
      If you want Tom Nook you have to get Rosies house set.And vice versa.
      Julians B-Day set is just a very low tier effort. It's cute and all. But I think a Julian House would be better which isn't really saying much. The light green color base plates just wouldn't be fun to use when it comes to pairing them with other baseplate themes.
      The Half houses and Nooks Cranny could have been bigger IMO or atleast have something that looks better. And not something that was pieced together with minimal effort. Rosies house alone just doesn't have any space. It's cluttered. TBH all of the sets look cluttered.
      The only set I do like is the Bunnie's Outdoor Activities. Though I feel that the Radio from Julians set would look better in Bunnie's Set.
      I can't be the only one who finds this set disappointing. The price isn't that bad. But still 80$ for two half houses. "Nook and Rosie." And the aesthetics it has.
      I just think that some of the pieces being utilized are nice. But Other themed lego sets has more details and have more creativity when being constructed before it goes out to the public.
      I remember building some lego set's and getting extremely excited that I completed a section of the build. And watching it all come together. I don't think this set will have that same charm.
      There are some cool techniques being used in the Animal Crossing lego sets. However it's not something we haven't seen from previous sets. And if we haven't again it's very mild at best.

    • @Danielewa.builds
      @Danielewa.builds หลายเดือนก่อน

      But, would you have wanted Lego Mario to get a similar treatment as animal crossing?
