So cool to see you speaking Finnish! Being multilingual is super beneficial, and it's awesome that you decided to speak Finnish as third language, considering both Japanese and Finnish are difficult languages to come by!
I live in Hungary as an international student and been to Christmas market in Budapest and yeah I liked the christmas market of Talinn more 🙂moreover people are stupid and they don't usually understand that two people can also be friends... your content is always a great one!! Keep up the good work.
lolol at the beginning when he's ordering Cappuchino, one was speaking Finnish, the other Estonian, but then again, nothing was lost to the translation
I lived in Tallinn for 3,5 years as a kid, at around the turn of the millenium. Always nice to see videos of the place I consider my 2nd hometown. Hopefully you had a good time!!
"Sült" sounds german too. In german its "Sülze" and each butcher/Metzger sells it. The only difference I have recognized in Tallinn is that the germans eat Blutwurst/Schwarzwurst cold or cooked and the estonians fried it in pans. About Karaoke in Helsinki: i heard some french guys in the Tram in Helsinki (end of december 2023) talking about a very good Karaoke Bar in Helsinki they have visited recently. And I saw also one Karaoke bar ( perhaps it was in Töölö?) Passing by with the tram. And why are there so much french people in Helsinki? And they talk everywhere in french as nobody can understand them. 😂😂😂😂
"Sült" sounds german too. Same word in Finnish, "syltty" and meaning exactly the same gelatinous, delicious thing. Some heretics call it "aladobi" though. Loosely related to the vid, "hirventurpasyltty" aka moose snout jelly, is a delicacy to die for.
You might have offended your friend with that christmas ham thing. Estonia was under USSR rule for so many decades, do you really think that they had any chance of having a big cut of meat for any occasion? Of course not. You got what you got, and to simulate a western "ham" or "turkey" you got sült, which was already known. Leftover, maybe good pieces of meat, other animal stuff suspended in meat jelly. It's still available and popular with older people in Finland too, except ours has more meat.
Saaristolaisleipä with cream cheese, red onion and graavilohi is just 🤌

Karaoke bars are everywhere in Helsinki but I think Daiki is talking about one of those japanese style karaoke houses where you book your own room
👍👍
There were karaoke bars in the 90s but they died out.
But we are not talking about "Bars" but more like karaoke houses.
風邪をひかないでください。❤

no need to be so pedantic about it. nor do i think any real friend would be offended by such a minor thing.
