I remember 10 years ago, my 30-year-old uncle married a 20-something chick. He paid her tuition through school and helped her get a job using his connections. Guess what? She cheated and divorced him, and he had to sell his house and car and give her half. She was 22 or 23 already with 500k in the bank and no debt. The dream is real.
I'm 42 years old, never married, no children. I'm able to accomplish all of my lifetime goals by being single. No alimony, no drama, no child support, don't have to worry about losing everything I have. By being single, I'm even able to save a lot of money for my retirement, enjoy my freedom. And his second wife cleaned him out in the divorce. He lost his house and most of his retirement money. He had to go back to work in his 70s. This was a man who served his country in Vietnam and worked his ass off his whole life. Heaven only knows how many lives he saved in Vietnam with his skills as a doctor. As his son I tried to help him as much as possible in his final years but he was very proud. He died sad and alone and living in squalor. That man deserved better.

No it does not worry me. But it is sweet when they do. I have had boyfriends that were alpha male types where I was submissive and would seek out THEIR approval. No it does not worry me. But it is sweet when they do. I have had boyfriends that were alpha male types where I was submissive and would seek out THEIR approval. Both my dad’s brothers got divorced.
And 4 of my mom’s brothers and sisters got divorced with many of their children also getting divorced.

The only time I see married women truly looking happy is when they're flirting or interacting with another man. Women are perfectly willing to marry a man they don't like, aren't attracted to, and don't respect, as long as he can guarantee security, comfort and stability.
Once they HAVE those three things, they feel free enough to seek out and spread their legs for the type of man they always really wanted.
I'll be 60 in August and have never been married. Retired four years ago, comfortably and 100% voluntarily. Can't imagine being able to do that had I let some female saddle me with debt (bad) and kids (worse). Haven't regretted my Life Choices in this manner for as much as a fraction of a second.
Want to know what a female who has set its sights on you is thinking? It's "Is this the guy I want my kids spending every other weekend with?"
@lost tribe of bani Israel from Kashmir Quite possibly the case, since I have seen several guys with whom I went to school who married and raised kids. ALL of them look older than me...some MUCH Older.
My post was written two years ago. Recently, two people have given me a weird look cuz I told them I (having turned 62) recently qualified for Social Security, followed by "You don't look it!" MADE My Day! LOL

What I didn't tell her: I knew of couples who divorced (Mom divorced Dad when I was three, BTW), and the husband was required to pay alimony (Mom didn't get alimony OR child support...didn't want it...she just wanted to be rid of my Biological Father). I knew of couples who were married but argued...A LOT! I remember thinking, "Why would I want to put myself in such a Situation?!"
My age when I said those words to Mom? 13, as in Eighth Grade.

I am so glad my ex, who was the one who proposed to *me* , broke up with me. I would have been so miserable with her, but luckily I had zero tolerance for her toxic two-faced behavior, and she didn't like me standing up for myself very much (it hurt her fragile feelings). It's been over a year since my breakup and I've never been happier. There was no way I could have become the man I wanted to become with her by my side. She would have held me back from living a fulfilling and peaceful life.

My uncle is trapped in a miserable marriage to a crazy, bipolar woman. He complained about it every day to my grandmother until she literally died a year ago. The only reason he hasn't divorced is he doesn't want to give half of everything and have to pay spousal and child support on top of that. Dude is living in misery.
