【Synopsis】Ling Xunxun (Jiang Mengjie) worked as a full-time wife for six years, but what she finally reaped was a cold divorce agreement. I am proud to say that I loved Eric so much from the beginning. This this the first time I saw someone this much mature in Cdramas. I love how he is pretending hard to be the second lead, inside he is shipping them. I love their trio bonding. Xun xun is the luckiest the have such friends.

How is this funny and not a sign that he is an immature narcissistic boy trapped in a man’s body? We don’t want her to be a mommy to him, we want her to find a partner who will be her equal and treat her that way.

This type of “romance” where the male lead never has to apologize or grow but continues to be an emotional-child and yet she “can’t help but obey his every whim” are disturbing and a horrible thing to romanticize. this is exactly how women in real life get into abusive relationships where the man holds all the power.
One of the best C dramas.... Very good performance and excellent story with no negative characters. Unique and awesome

It’s exhausting watching a man-child who is supposed to be this powerful CEO but who can’t take care of himself in the most basic level. He literally wants a mommy and it’s sad watching her bend over backwards to take care of a guy who treated her without respect or communication. He needs to grow up before he deserves her. He’s crappy partner material.

Although I like the FL, I think it is wrong in the script to make her a mom (only to explain why she was a housewife).
Now she caringly babysits the ML, while she has a kid somewhere, that we see nothing of at the moment.
It doesn’t make her look good.
Plus we don’t know who takes care of her boy. Is it pre-arranged that she get custody of her child when having a steady income and home or are foster parents loving her kid and hoping he can stay forever?

@yolandavanderzee3854 Good question on the writers. I noticed it is mostly in Chinese romance dramas. The drama "Lady of Law" had strong FL(s). I am sure that Chinese women don't want to be treated that way, no matter their economic and social status.
Thank you. I will check that drama you mentioned. At the moment I’m watching very low budget dramas on TH-cam, some with surprisingly strong FL’s, but most very abusive towards the FL’s. In hindsight, My Dear Lady, is high quality drama. But I love to rant if I find something unjustified.
