      I agree so much. There are a ton of videos of people talking a whole lot where they truly never get into the very detail of why they actually decided to enter a trade. They constantly repeat themselves regarding how difficult or easy trading is or about how their pupils also got in on the same trade and made a lot. They aren't nearly as concise as this guy.

    The 3 bar play has saved me a lot of money by keeping me out of trades that don't pan out. This I have back tested on many of my winning and losing trades...Going back 6 months and drawing all floors and ceilings starting back there and moving forward in time really opens my eyes about how the past prices must be pivotal for the 3 bar trade to work... I can really see why this works off of old floors and ceilings.... It's a solid strategy.

    Jared, are these just straight stock purchases? I ask because the quantities you're talking about put the totals in the multiple 10's of thousands ($202K for WFM), which I'm not doubting your ability to purchase, it's just that you say it so casually like anyone could do it. Thanks for sharing this, BTW!

      It's a standard retail account with 4:1 leverage. So $50k cash allows you to buy $200,000 in stock. Make sense? If you have less money then buy fewer shares. There are also trades like MAXR today...$5.75 by $5.65, not expensive to buy 1k shares...and it went 70 cents...you could made $400-$700. Cheers!

    Thanks for this very informative and detailed video. I have a (probably dumb) question. You look for a line of resistance, followed by a breakout candle, then a narrow range resting bar. Then the "rip". Are you buying during the third bar, or after it's appeared? What gives you confidence that the stock isn't going to suddenly reverse? Is it just that >50% of the time, this is a predictable trend? Thanks again and looking forward to watching a bunch of your vids!

    Great system.
    My question/confusion is the entry.
    If it is a 3 bar move, you have the break out, then the pause, but the 3rd is the mover and you are trying to get in at the beginning of that candle. How do you know if it'll be a 3 bar, 4 bar or dud at the beginning of the 3rd candle?

    Hey Jared love the videos and this set up. I know you showed the three bar play on all kinds of time frames and the guy like me who lives on th east coast and works a 9-5 its hard to trade in the morning. For a daily trade what do you suggest i scan for? Breakouts or look for stocks gapping and try to see if ti forms a three bar daily play.

    • @Live.Traders
      @Live.Traders  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Scan for the same set-ups you would scan for intra-day. Example: daily buy setup. daily breakout, daily 3bp. Look at MMM from a few days ago...daily 4bp. Look at RHI. They happen all the time...just scan the daily/weekly gainers and losers list, you'll find them. Cheers!

    Really interested in learning more! I´m curious, how do I enable the support bar - I see it´s a critical component in filtering stocks. Also do you know any other descriptions of the $-Gainers or Losers? It seems like every platform is using their own words for that stuff… best regards from europe

    Hey I wonder a few things dear sir:
    Why not use options with this 3 bar strategi? Isn't it better? No need to worry about liquidity.
    Also, if you don't use options, is it hard getting filled with 20k+ shares?
    Last question, do you use market order to exit positions?
    Thanks alot!

    Hey Mr. Wesley, is it bad to trade this method deeper within the day? Say, around 9am PT? Also, If there has been massive appreciation overall that day, would it be bad to trade(bullish) a 3 bar play that is a reversal nonetheless? what if it is a record high stock price? Thank you

    Great content and a great channel! I love the strategy you outline, which is clearly explained and logical. I tried to set up an account with Tradestation but it was very involved and not ideal for UK based people who want to trade demo to begin with. There is also not a "dollar mover" list (I never got as far as being able to set up the screens the way you do and couldn't work it out) for any other index like the UK so I'd struggle to trade during midday (for us in GMT!). I'd love to try it so will keep looking for a solution. If you have any other platform recommendations that would be awesome. I'll keep looking though, again I love the strategy and would love to follow it.

    • @Live.Traders
      @Live.Traders  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Success rate is highly dependent on your target. 2:1 targets are usually 45-55%. 3:1 targets 35-40%. Small targets like 1:1 60-65%. YES< they stop out all the time. Management is important. 5' MAXR today at $5.75...SWEET! 5' OLED today over $185.70, SWEET. AAPL 15' 2 days ago, SWEET! Cheers!

    You've lost me at your pre scanning. Like 40:49 I find see the gap where the mouse is at. Like there are times when I'm trying to actually see the gap your referring ton and I don't see it like..I see a GAP in the stock but like in the one I suggested, it's by February so I thought we were looking for gaps to be in the most recent bar

    • @Live.Traders
      @Live.Traders  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Platforms don't show pre-market gaps on the daily chart until the market open, so you have to 'imagine' where it is. If it says $104.50 in the pre-mkt, then look at the chart and see where $104.50 is. After 9am it will show on the 60' chart...but I did that scan before 9am. Cheers!

    In your video you buy stocks that are worth 40$+, 70$+ etc... do you need a big account for that? Or can you use leverage as in forex? Could you do it on Tradestation? What about the daytrading rule?

    • @Live.Traders

      For retail accounts you need $25k to get past the PDT rule. You can use a Prop Account...but you need a license for that. There are cheaper stocks as well. MAXR today on the 5' chart. $5.75, stop loss $5.65, it popped 70-80cents. 1k shares and you coulda made $500+...Cheers!
