    I've had mine for a month, it's rooted in a 2" pot, and has also dried from the tendrils. I'm anxious about how she is doing, but this video helps relieve that anxiety.

    I found the most natural way to direct the stem is to put it next to the light in the direction you want the stem to go. It will follow the light source. Great video. 👍🌱

      Thank you, thats a great tip! I ended up using some twisty ties to gently guide it after i made the vid. =)

    Mathilde is my favourite hoya, it’s such a fast grower once it gets settled in. I recommend you stick two small toothpicks or skewers to sandwich the newest stem and train it to go towards the less bushy side, start with just slight bending of the stem then adjust the sticks as the plant adjusts so it’s not too sudden of a change in direction. Then once it’s long enough and there’s a few mature size leaves you can tie it to your trellis to fill in that side. 👌

      Yeahs its really taking off now. Thats a great idea! After the video i ended up using some twisty ties to guide it to the right. will have to go get some skewers. =)

    I just got a long cutting of mathilde. I immediately cut it up to propagate in a baggie with my Hoya soil mix. Lots of aerial roots so hopefully the cuttings will root easily.

      They root pretty easily, they will grow in no time! Exciting!

    Hi thank you for videos.. i'm not very good at keeping plants alive , also because i have a north facing window. But i want to try to grow one of these. I like how you use a circular metal to let it grow upwards. can you share how you diy that?

    Mathilde is tops on my wishlist right now. It's so so cute! I like your little trellis. Do you have a video on that? Also, is this one in grow light?

    Hi, I just bought a Hoya mathilde but I believe I had received a Hoya serpent instead because it is 15 centimetres long and had six tiny leaves as small as my little finger nail. And the leaves are thin and darker than your plant. Have you got any video about the difference among those two Hoyas? Thank you!

    • @BotanicalWoman
      @BotanicalWoman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      no i don't but they are very different, serpens have much smaller leaves and a bit more "hairy" where as the mathilde leaves are more waxy like carnosas.

    Do you really need to review leaf by leaf?!
