It's me again.😊 Congratulations on your new born! Babies are a blessing. You will be a GREAT DAD!! Start teaching your son exposure triangle...lol. I'm soo happy for you and your wife. 🙂
Thank you so much; he's the most adorable little nugget with the strongest cantankerous personality traits. I'll put a camera in his hands as soon as I can and see what trouble we can get into :)
Jesus, thank you for showing some vulnerability here. I just wish I could hug you right now with all my heart. First of all, congratulations!!! , so happy for you. You blogging this, and how you feel about it, just tells about how great father you are and you'll be. You're excelling at parenting. Second, and here is some advice that helped me a lot with anxiety and overcoming all this daydreaming/wandering in the mind. This is your chance to start fresh or start all over again. Start practicing mindfulness, just be in the now. Stop worrying about the past and stop worrying too much about the future. Do your plans as usual and try to give yourself a break every now and then. Try getting rid of sugar, try to eat healthy. This was the hardest I had to do and now I started to fall asleep like a baby when I cut sugar and started working out (just for the sake of having a free anxiety mind). I'll suggest you start listen and practice some Joe Dispenza, some Wim Hof also helps. And some advice regading your little one being so tired and not sleeping, make sure you wrap him around a blanket so tight he can't move (just like in the hospital). This is sort of the science behind the weighted blankets, it gives you the sensation someone is giving you a hug, so yes, just wrap him in a blanket mild tight and he'll sleep so deep. Hope this can help, if you ever need to talk I'm here for you. I'm grateful I found you, I'm proud to call myself your student. Your channel has definitely helped me to improve my skills. I see you, I feel you. I'm also going through some tough shit right now. And I believe I also need to post it somewhere. Thank you for aimlessly encouraging me to do such thing. I know you'll get well, you'll find your timing, you'll still have the time to be an awesome parent, and post videos, do your stuff, but first focus on getting good at one thing, take your time. Big big love from Monterrey MX. Stay strong. Love you! 🙌🏻
My friend, I am deeply honored by your words and thank you so very much for sharing them. I know that video may not be for everyone, but I have to believe that it makes a difference when we share the human part of our lives, rather than just "here's another Photoshop tutorial!" Much of the struggles we faced when I made that video, have now greatly improved. We swaddled him every night and also started doing it during the day during any nap time. He's going to sleep on his own much easier and even sleeping for longer stretches at night. My wife has healed beautiful and is just in love with this period of our lives and our son. I'm doing my best to keep my head screwed on straight and trying to keep my mind clear. It's rather difficult on a daily basis, but I have a lot of wonderful support from my wife and the work that is in front of me is keeping me sane :) I've also lost 30 pounds since he was born. Not the best way to lose it, but thanks to anxiety and a severe lack of appetite, the weight is melting. Eating mindfully and hitting the gym almost every day, while listening to meditations and getting some good books in there has brought me balance. Share your story - wherever you feel most comfortable and let others know your journey. If you do put it out there, let me know where so I can go with you on it :) Thank you again and stay safe!!
@@RealityReimagined heey thank you! How's your journey going so far? Didn't get any notification so I apologize for answering back way too late 😅 I believe I'll post something on Instagram later, I've been working so hard on that as of late. I'd really like to create some consciousness around myself. It doesn't matter if I get to inspire just one person, that would be enough for me. I'll follow your dame principles. My insta account is this one @speakthytruth. Also I might start updating my webpage as well. www.speakthytruth.com looking forward to see you around master!
Congratulations! :) As time comes, you will have only 1 regret... that you waited so long ;) :). There is something magical about watching them grow and become their own persons; and see yourself within them as they grow. I have 2 ;) of "these things". The anxiety is normal... that's pretty much gonna stay with you all the time. Is normal. You are a father :). Advises... lol, each kid is different :). You will find your way :), just trust yourself ;) :).
Thank you so much - I truly appreciate the kind words and insight. I know that things will be okay and he will be loved by us both - it's just so hard to feel like I'm not doing enough. For several days I've been able to get him to sleep for a cycle or two (cycles being his usual 3 hours he will sleep before he wakes up and you have 30 seconds to give him food or he screams) in the mornings and in the evenings so my wife can rest. She has great endurance and can nap at almost any period of time. I have never been able to nap - I need a straight six or seven hours and I can go for a whole 24 hour period without rest. Now I worry that my son takes after me. This is going to be a long road.
@@RealityReimagined Everything you are going through is absolutely normal... so if it helps, think that you are not alone in this... millions of new parents are going through the same thing. First time is always the hardest; what you are describing, brings back memories :D. Is normal to have the 3 hours sleep, 3 hours awake periods. As he grows, the sleeping periods will get longer. Just hang on and go with the flow, don't fight it.
The best advice I can give you is to stay close to God and listen, he will give you everything that you need to be graceful while learning to be a parent all you have to do is listen... As far as your baby boy sleeping I would suggest playing some white noise, no joke it worked for my daughter and my son
Thank you for the kind words - I appreciate it! I have been on my knees for many nights (as is my usual practice anyway, before he came along) asking for help. Asking for peace and calm, so I can be what they need me to be. Perhaps I'm just not listening hard enough. We have a little sound machine that plays white noise as well as other ambient sounds and music. It has helped, but this new routine of not sleeping is just a major curve ball
@@RealityReimagined don't worry too hard on it there will be a few sleepless nights but he'll settle into a routine as they all do God bless you and I will also pray for your calming
Congratulations. The biggest thing in anybody's life. I hope you will get some sleep soon. I have always said that the most irrelevant in the world is the other newborn on the the maternity clinic. :-) Remember to enjoi, how tired you may be. But i can hear that you do.
@@RealityReimagined John Lennon is quoted for "Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans." It's something to think about. This is really useful and thank you for sharing
