Hi friends! this week I made DIY soy candles out of essential oils 😍 and I'm super proud of how they turned out! They're beautiful and smell amazing!

These are beautiful. I think they are perfect for a decorative candle that you don’t burn. What makes me nervous about actually burning them is that there are way too many flowers in there. Especially the big petals that you put in there. I would try breaking the petals into very small flakes and just organizing them around the top of the candle very sparingly. Also I would take the crystals out before burning, because they will just make big sinkholes in to your candle. For a proper burn test for candles you need to burn them from beginning to end.
The fact that this wasn’t a legitimate burn test can and will confuse people, because this is really not safe, and extremely dangerous! Please people look up dos and don’ts when adding other objects into your candles and research containers and wicks!

Omgsh no these are amazing I still make them often! I recycle store bought candle jars and just fill them myself. They’re great gifts and they last longer too!! Just make sure you put the dried flower far from the wick. Have fun!!

You should get a pirex glass measuring cup with 4-6 cups, the big one, to melt the beeswax, it's way easier to take out and carry and it has a spout. You're welcome! 😉

Just make sure you keep the dried flower FAR from the wick!!! Otherwise you’re good xx
These are stunning! Would you please tell us the measurements again - you mentioned half a bag of candle wax for one candle mug, but it looks like half of the bag filled three mugs - or was it just one? Also, how much essential oil and was it really fragrant? Really beautiful candles!! Thank you.
Thank you so much Peggy! It was definitely more wax than expected. 1/2 a bag filled one mug. I didn’t film me repeatedly heating up more wax. I used 1/2 a bottle of essential oil which is way more than recommended but it made it nice and fragrant ☺️ also make sure that the dried flowers aren’t close to the wick! Thanks for watching!

The flowers will burn! So make sure to keep them far from the wick- but you can def keep them in the candles :) let me know how it turns out!

Great video! Quick question, when burning the candle how do you avoid burning the leaves and flowers on top? When i light my candle the burning smell of the leaves/flowers over shadows the wonderful smelling candle.
Definitely make sure all the dried flower/leaves are far from the wick!!!!!

They look nice, however, I was told to never have anything near the wick or sticking out of the candle or it will catch fire.

No they’re pretty stuck in their place ☺️ and the wick is super sturdy!

Thanks for the instructions but I think you don’t even need to waste money! With soy wax, literally just cotton cord (you can wax it yourself in the melted wax) and essential oils you can do that! Also you can use a cup to melt everything and place it on the bottles. Also to put the dried flowers inside you can go putting “layers” over the flowers instead of fckin up a pen! Anyways they turned out super beautiful. Hope this helps youuuu❤️

Not at all! Just keep the dried flower far from the wick (that’s the most dangerous thing about it).

These are a fire hazard. There’s a reason why big candle companies do not do this.
There are a lot of big candle companies that do crystal candles. Just make sure the dried flowers are far from the wick.

The temperature is what she's talking about.
In order for the fragrance to bind to the wax you need an exact temp. We all start somewhere! It's OK, you did pretty amazing for a first try.
Pretty but fire danger. Professional US candle makers would NEVER do this. Unless only decorative, not for burning.
A lot if people burn these kinds of candles what are you talking about? With any candle you need to watch when they burn
Just keep the herbs and plants away from the wick you'll be fine
These are dangerous…please dont make these. These jars arent made for candles, you should never have anything in the jar that can catch fire other than the wick, and the wicks are way too long. Please be careful.
Hmm. I’ve made over 20 of them and have never had a problem. esp with the wicks. The only thing that can be dangerous is the dried flower catching on fire why it’s stated that it needs to be far from the wick. Regardless, thanks for the input!
Why crystals? That makes me sad to see how senseless they are used.
You keep them after…. They don’t burn. Just use hot water to get the wax off
