    Very helpful info - thanks. So you strapped the battery in place, with the BMS board and power on button tucked in down the side. Maybe an enterprising person could design and 3D print a new battery case to accommodate these parts, while clipping securely into place? Obviously it would be slightly bulkier than the original case, so wouldn't look as sleek.
    The best thing about this is that next time the battery fails, it's an easy plug and play replacement.

      If you watch the video again right in the beginning I say that we have a 3D printed lid available for purchase that goes over the top of the battery mod and clips into place.

    Great info Dan!! Thanks for working this out and sharing with us!
    My batteries are ok right now, but it's good to know I can mod my own when they eventually give in 👍👍👍

      @@StuartTiffany I don't think you understand whether you're monitoring the voltage or not you won't be getting your solo back if you're under pitch controls drawing amperage to the motors hovering is one thing but moving in a directional path at anything over 12 to 15 miles per hour when a cell fails will cause immediate black out of the solo I won't have enough power to keep sustain flight so unless you always plan on flying at 12 to 15 miles per hour every single flight I would suggest performing the battery mod so you don't have to worry about it anymore. That was a perfectly good battery that only had two flights and it toasted on its second flight right in front of me if you had been flying when that battery did that your solo would have crashed without any warning

      Point taken Dan, I intend to keep my Solo flying as long as I can, so I'll look to sorting my batteries when I get time 👍

    DW ! First off thanks for turning me on to the Solo ! Great frigging drone . I took a chance buying mine , the guy said it was only flown a few times . When it arrived it looked brand new and had 4 batteries . I'm going to make sure the batteries are fully charged and see how long they last to check their longevity . Would you suggest just hovering or flying the same route with each ? The battery mod you came up with is great as I was concerned , like any Solo owner where to find more batteries . Very cool of you to share your knowledge . Thanks again Dan ! Hope you're feeling better brother .

      As you fly this solo your flight times will get better and better with that pack I was getting almost 17 minutes of flight after about 25 charges

    Hey Dan great video i just modded 2 batteries, my question is the bms seems to be showing the old battery MAH capacity and that sends a audible warning though Solex, any fix for that?

    • @IFixShet
      @IFixShet  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you calibrate the bms after installing the battery to it?
