I personally only have a "high tech" nine gallon eheim aquastyle set up now but I used to have that plus a 20 gallon long, a ten gallon and a 3 gallon picotope, all planted with co2 and good light and very natural, in San Diego. I moved back to the midwest 5 years ago and hadn't been able to set them up until just this month. I am glad to be back in the hobby, but I regret never having taken the nonstop from San Diego to Tokyo in order to visit Nigita I think it is where his home is situated. I don't have the talent or eye you have for fine aquascaping - with practice hopefully they will get better. I plan on starting my 20 gallon again soon.
Your setups are some of the coolest I've ever seen on TH-cam, which include those running in Japan at the ADA headquarters. The nooks and crannies created by your hard scape and the interesting "trees" and other rock formations, "steps" and paths - great plant growth without being overwhelming - they're just awesome.
Definitely worth giving it a shot again! There is a little trial and error with getting plants to take off, but in the last decade there has been so much advancement with the technology... Aquasoil, cheap and GOOD LEDs, affordable filters, etc. You got it!
Thank you @lostmangos - I have been called many things on this channel but that's a first! Appreciate the kind words and sub. Hopefully you enjoy the future content 😊
I think your next fish should be odessa barbs. I recently got a few and they are very cool and zip all around. The males are gorgeous with red and black. If you want the best, some guy online breeds them for dark black and red vibrant colors. I can give you the name if you can't find it but definitely check those fish out, they are peaceful for the most part and live with my guppies and mollies.
@@freshflowaquatics I got them from aquahuna. They are good looking so far but I heard greg sage (i believe that's his name/he's also has a website) grows special ones that are much more deeper black and have stronger reds. I might sell them and get the greg sage ones but I am just waiting for them to get a bit older before I make my decision. There should be a couple videos about the greg sage ones on youtube.
Very nice tanks. The large wood in the cory tank is beautiful. That would have cost a fortune in the store. Question. What are your thoughts on capping aquasoil with sand to prevent excessive ammonia upon start up?
Thank you! Lol, I can never wrap my head around how expensive wood is at the fish store... I don't think you need to cap aquasoil with sand to prevent ammonia leeching. Even though I hear people talk about it, I've never observed it and I use aquasoil in pretty much all my tanks and client tanks. Sometimes I'll cap the soil because I like the way it looks, sand is such a clean looking substrate.
How many tanks do you have?

Thank you very much! I really appreciate that! I'd love to make it to the ADA gallery some day - the birthplace of this awesome hobby 😊

Thank you @MindfulFishkeeping - love the handle 😊
Catfish paradise was my favorite! Great scapes, the attention to detail is outstanding!
Thanks man! Catfish paradise is definitely my favorite too 😊
the SG-1 commemorative tank is really cool, looks like you are using a Fluval Flex as the tank itself? I loved watching that series too.
Thank you! Yes, I am using the Flex 15 for that setup. Such a fun series, I keep waiting for a new spinoff to roll out 👽
Very nice collection of tanks. Looking forward to more content! Happy New Year🎉
Thank you very much and Happy New Year!
Those are some nice tanks!
Thank you Timato!
your tanks are amazing
Thank you @mexicalifishkeeper !!
Love big tanks with schools of smaller fish. Never had luck with live plants. May try again that i am now retired and have more time to work on tanks.

I've never kept them, but they definitely are a gorgeous fish! Where did you get yours from?

@freshflowaquatics Thank you. I appreciate the information. Sand does look nicer.
