I hope you enjoyed my VERY FIRST camping video! This was a short and sweet overnighter at a campground not too far from home. We needed to test out some new gear before actually using it on long distance trips. RV campgrounds are certainly not my preferred method of camping, but Ohio campgrounds are flooded at the moment. We went the second weekend after re-opening and it was INSANE! Anyway, I let me know what you thought of this (non motovlog) video and hit that SUBSCRIBE button if you would like to see more!
Her Two Wheels I guess that’s understandable if you’re just gear testing it still looks like y’all had a good time especially in morning. That was a beautiful shot of the morning sun hitting the tree. Y’all have a fantastic weekend. 👊❤️🇺🇸
Great video, loved the shots from two bikes. The campground is what it is, you can’t pick your neighbours, but still great to get out. Two tents? Get a 3/4 man and cuddle up? If the tent is large enough you can still fit two air beds in so when one rolls over, you don’t disturb the other. I personally have a number of tents for different occasions. The latest is a Khyam Biker Plus quick erect tent and I plan to take that just for me, so I can spread out and stand up etc, although I could share this with one other and still be comfy. I’m guessing this was a try out camp, but if it was me I would be leaving freeze dried food for emergencies only! If you can have a fire, set up camp and then go into the local stores for supplies and have a Braai (BBQ) back at camp. Or if you have room stop off and buy stuff in the nearest town before you get to camp. Motorcycle camping is always about the balance between the weight & bulk of what you carry and still being comfortable. When I was in my 20’s I had a tiny 2 man tent and it wasn’t until I almost froze at one rally, that I got a sleeping roll mat. 😂 Now comfort is the priority, I can’t do with being uncomfortable. However as I always say, “It’s your channel, do what suits you.” Also live your life for you, and do things your way! Great to you the pair of you getting out to do something you both love. Keep it rubber side down with your knees in the breeze!
I'll be damned if I would ler her practice social distancing with me! Her or any lady I'd be married to. Caution measures ok, of course, but no... proximity... that would be a no-no... or a divorce. There'd just BE no way I'd be married to a Lady like her without... physical proximity. It'd simply be too much for me (any man, I guess). Sorry for my honesty.
Wow, this was so good. Jess, your video recording & editing skills are so good. You know what to record and what people want to see. Like the shot of both of you riding away. Obviously you went back for the camera but the point is that we had closure. You thought about that ahead of time. You gave us a "fly on the wall" view of your experience not just some random "look at me" or scripted moments. It wasn't about showing off your skills, it was clear that you wanted your viewers to experience your feelings and emotions. Thanks for putting so much hard work into this.
Hey Jess, as a coffee connaiseur, you need to get yourself a “Bodum,” or French Press to make your coffee. You’ll be glad you did, way better than instant, but just as easy! You can even get travel mugs with the built in press. Get your favourite coffee blend, coarse ground. Put it in your cup just like with instant, and pour in near boiling water. Let it sit for a few minutes, then push down the press. The quick press makes the coffee stronger, and it holds all the grounds down keeping them out of your coffee. Try it! 😎
Get you a coffee press it's better than that instant.and get you some bacon and eggs going in the morning it's the best smell in the world when you're camping. A good greasy breakfast and that coffee will help that hangover too. Love the video makes me want to hop on one of my bikes and go camping.

2 tents = 2 campsites=more space. Plus what if someone's gear gets stolen during a fuel/bathroom stop? You're still covered. Don't put all your eggs in one basket 😉

Jess, Nice to get out and go camping. It’s nice to be out in the fresh air. Food tastes better. You sleep better. Everything is just better. I eat my Brats burned too. Lol And without a bun Where I live the Provincial Parks are open but they are only renting half the sites out. Every other site has to be empty.

We ride and camp also. But, not together. When we ride, we ride. When we camp, we camp in our 28' Class C and love it! Went last weekend and the place was full, up in NW Ohio. When we tent camped we only went to primitive campgrounds. No RVs there. There are a lot of options for that in Ohio. Looks like you had a nice time anyhow.
Check out books titled “The Best In Tent Camping in (insert state here). I have them for several states and they’re great books to find really nice tucked away smaller tent campgrounds. My most memorable tent 🏕 spots have been found in those books. Unfortunately annoying people can be found anywhere, but at least these spots have them in tents and small rv’s lol. Safe travels 😎
I use a cot keeps you off the ground ,goes in a bag ,air mattresses are cold and I camp in the winter as I am in fla no bugs and no sweat but it does get cold in hunting season 30s..put an empty bag under you on the cot and your bag on top.
Buy a rubber bottle, fill it with boiled water, close it, and put it in your sleeping bag. It warms up, and keep you warm a while. It´s a safe sleeping bag heater. I have bought a rubber bottle, with wool garnment around it.

I haven't truly 'camped' since I was a kid in boy scouts! If this is what 'camping' has turned into then you can keep it! Wall to wall people in tow in campers WITH kitchen sinks and toilets are for yuppies! I'll just 'camp' in the nearest Marriott or Hilton and sleep in soft beds with nice restaurants nearby...
For a less RV camping experience, check out Blue Rock State Park Campground. It's a little south east of Zanesville. The campground is hilly so the site seem more distant because of different elevations. It is also a nice location if you want to ride the triple nickle (Ohio State route 555).
Love the video. It's nobody else's business about the two tents. About the campsite chosen, there are many to choose from and this is probably the least desirable one. My wife and daughter and I used to camp in a state forest campground next to a lake with the sites farther away, separated by trees and with a stone building that had flushing toilets and hot showers. The smell of bacon in the morning was everywhere. Don't give up on camping. Just do more research before choosing the campsite. It's worth it.
After watching 'Her Two Wheels' and spouse (do they have names, if so are they secret?) I feel; inspired to either undertake some camping or something more purposeful eg. all night angling even though both are a rough form of enjoyment compared with hotels. But I do recall the blissful tranquility of the 80s when I regularly night fished in mid-summer for specimen eels in England. Maybe I remain hardy enough in old age? I've got a camper van and a GTR1400 but none of HTW's specialist equipment. She's clearly very tuned into that sort of life. I am young again! (My new mantra). I feel the need to feign youth for added confidence. (Deep breath).
Enjoyed your camping video . Those simple things are wonderful. Google Blueridge Motorcycle Campground. Tent camping, small camping cabins. Meals available on weekends. Lots of great riding . Between Brevard and Waynesville , NC. Another great place is Hunts Motorcycle Lodge in Tellico Plains ,Tennessee. At beginning of Cherohala Skyway and a hour or so from the Tail of the Dragon . Many more places to camp just a couple of my favs . Safe Travels .

This was an absolute amazing feel good video. Yep I plan on going there as much as possible this summer. unfortunately they were packed full this weekend. I will need to go during the week to make sure it's not crowded.
Don't like camping in camp grounds with all the mobile homes but worst day camping is better than any day working...guess that's called social distancing😂
Love camping! And bourbon. And pretty girls that ride. Could do without the rv park tho. Wilderness camping is the best. Next best is a friend that has scenic property.
No guarantee, but I have better luck in the "primitive" camping sections away from all the 5th wheel campers with screaming kids/barking dogs. I can't believe you showed the clips of you eating the brat! LOL! And how are you and the Hubs ever gonna make babies sleeping in separate tents?! LOL! Just teasing of course. I'm surprised you were able to pitch a tent where the rv were. Where we go they have tent only area. So its not as noisy cars and such coming and goin. They are cheaper sites also for tents. Tennessee is a great place to come camp. Imagination campground. Cosby Tn. Cmon down . The dragon is close . Skyway foothills parkway . Even Cosby campground has great tent camping . I'm old so my trailer keeps me off the ground . Lol

Live near Toledo, OH, hardly ever anything going on for bikers and I see near Columbus always something to do as far as biking goes. Take care and thanks for the videos

Nice vid. I've gone from a "hate camping" to a "try camping" mindset. After my Army years, I hated camping and people would tell me that Army camping is not "real" camping. I reminded them if I have to dig a hole for my own toilet, that's "real" camping! Highly recommend you get some Black Rifle Coffee for your instant pack. Pretty sure you'll like it. Buckaroo!

Fun quiet night Jess looks like you got all your gear down pat my first trip is in a couple weeks most RV sites are open but taking longer to open tent camping one of my nights are at a RV park tho kinda know what to expect that night now 🤣 anyways can't wait to try my new gear also🤗🏕️❤️

Yep I plan on going there as much as possible this summer. unfortunately they were packed full this weekend. I will need to go during the week to make sure it's not crowded.

We did. After being quarantined for over two months, I would take any campground!
Love camping! And bourbon. And pretty girls that ride. Could do without the rv park tho. Wilderness camping is the best. Next best is a friend that has scenic property.

No guarantee, but I have better luck in the "primitive" camping sections away from all the 5th wheel campers with screaming kids/barking dogs. I can't believe you showed the clips of you eating the brat! LOL! And how are you and the Hubs ever gonna make babies sleeping in separate tents?! LOL! Just teasing of course. I can understand the separate tents (easier to pack a smaller tent). What most of us don't understand is why are your tents so far apart?
I use the “Mountain House” freeze dried foods. They’re not bad. Also have Trader Joe’s instant coffee that has creamer and sugar in it.
I'm surprised you were able to pitch a tent where the rv were. Where we go they have tent only area. So its not as noisy cars and such coming and goin. They are cheaper sites also for tents. Tennessee is a great place to come camp. Imagination campground. Cosby Tn. Cmon down . The dragon is close . Skyway foothills parkway . Even Cosby campground has great tent camping . I'm old so my trailer keeps me off the ground . Lol

Me and my wife stayed at a campground in Cosby. Very beautiful out there. We both want to move there someday.
