At least MRN didn’t completely ignore the biggest wreck of the season like Fox did, it’s unbelievable race after race year after year this happens and the Fox cameras continue to miss major events
AND....it's all sports not just NASCAR...too much spent in conspiracies, drones and crappy robot remote camera work...and from what I heard Nascar doesn't want certain camera shots (empty seats maybe ?)
It was a helluva race thats for sure! My wife and I have always loved going to the spring Talladega race! And we'll be back for the fall race also!!! I got Atlanta and the night race at Bristol to go to. But I might sell my Bristol tickets. I have a pit pass also but dont know if its transferable to another person or not honestly.
He crashed across the start finish line, so he took the quick way back to pit road, which was going backwards, crossing the line again. The transponder registered it as completing another lap when nobody else did, tricking timing and scoring.
These extreme blocking moves at this speed is nuts. I've been a Michael McDowell fan for some years, but I lost some respect after that move. The first block was okay, but the second had no chance, and he wrecked so many cars. Common sense goes right out the window, selfishness takes over, and we say that's okay. I raced on a MUCH smaller scale on local dirt tracks for 30 years and you learn to do whatever you can to win a race while still respecting your competitors. This "win at ALL costs" attitude in NASCAR puts lives in danger. The thrill of victory and agony of defeat comes with drivers winning and losing by a fraction of an inch, not with one driver wiping out most of the field and another wins through survival.
NASCAR wanted this attitude, and forced the drivers to adopt this attitude by forcing the entire series into a points format that only cares about winning.
Don't let plate racing change your opinion on him this is just a product of this type of racing its a split second decision even the best drivers in the sport have made bad blocks before at these tracks.
Congratulations for Tyler congratulations for the 45 team for 2311 at least coil the drawer was able to climb out under his own power power here and Talladega do not disappoint on PlayOn show Talladega Geico 500 did not disappoint on point on show
And for all the drivers involving that big crash at least they were able to climb out underneath their own power under their own power and specially for coil of joy joy when he ended up on the side of the wall while I'm doing a barrel roll at least he was able to climb out underneath his own power under his own power but man Talladega did not disappoint on a show
Timing and scoring registered another lap when he went backwards across the line after finishing, so it made it look like he was the only one who completed an extra lap.
I wonder what it sounds like from comedians Mooncar. 😅🤔 But apologies for the fans that the finish that was going to be an encore of last Fall's race turned into tears. Like I said were in a world of Slamatona. 😢😢😢😢😢
Probably true but he also would've been shuffled out of the top 10 from the momentum everyone else had on him. I don't blame the man for going for the win
So, instead of grabbing a top-3, McDowell, decided he’d risk everyone’s lives and property to cut across all lanes to block Kaselowski (who ended up w the Silver), while moron-McDowell got zippo and instead looks like a fool. He should be penalized for such a bone-head move.
Looked to me like McDowell was just a bit too hot on his last blocking move and lost the rear end. Nothing BS about it. Brad had him and an aggressive block was called for. It just didn’t work out. Thankfully Brad didn’t win either.
Great job keeping the finish line camera to show the Lajoie flip!

Yep he always uses the best angles and clips different angles together sometimes to give us the best footage than what was shown live
MRN Does such a superior job of calling the race. TV video feed with their audio is the right combination.
it’s superior since they have to paint the picture for radio listeners, whilst color commentators just comment about what the viewer is already seeing
You’re joking right? For a second they thought Kyle Busch won the race despite being about 25th coming out of turn four 😂
@@mono-no-aware.Lem.Kyle Busch crossed the start finish line again which messed up timing and scoring. They were just commenting on that. So be quiet
MRN should be the primary commentary group
Shout out to MRN Network This has to be my favorite commentator
Better than fox
At least MRN didn’t completely ignore the biggest wreck of the season like Fox did, it’s unbelievable race after race year after year this happens and the Fox cameras continue to miss major events
What's so strange to me, is that Fox was so much better at this 15-20 years ago. Now they suck.
They didn't miss it though...
The announcers seen it...but they don't control what's shown or covered that's the producer I believe...
AND....it's all sports not just NASCAR...too much spent in conspiracies, drones and crappy robot remote camera work...and from what I heard Nascar doesn't want certain camera shots (empty seats maybe ?)
Fox's job here is to assist NASCAR because if the yellow light turned on suddenly, they have to use their video to show the final result.
The radio is almost always a better call… because in the absence of video, they have to actually CALL the race.
Thanks for these videos! MRN does it so good
agreed.
That Corey LaJoie flip and Josh Berry near flip gave me flashbacks…
like bill elliott and dale earnhardt?
@@etienneoliveira5652I got Bill Elliott and Dale Earnhardt vibes from LaJoie and Berry too
I'm glad McDowell owned that bad move. I just knew BK finally got him one!
That’s just racing as hard as you can for the win fr
Well done by MRN.👍🏼 Can’t say the same for FOX 😂😂

McDowell been around a long time, races clean doesn't cry, good dude!
Welcome Back
Has to listen to the Fox broadcast but MRN Calls I'll very much Enjoy.
How did Larson recover from that spin to right the car perfectly? 4:51. Dude can flat out drive! Easy to miss with Lajoie doing Lajoie family flips! 😂
5:26 shows a good angle of the quick 360
We used to call Dave Moody motor mouth Moody at thunder road in Barre,Vermont years ago,lol 😂
Great work putting this together!
How did timing and scoring say Kyle Busch won when he was in the grass while Reddick crossed the line
He crashed across the start finish line, so he took the quick way back to pit road, which was going backwards, crossing the line again. The transponder registered it as completing another lap when nobody else did, tricking timing and scoring.
@@nascargavin8interesting, never thought of that but that's what happened
Tyler air reddick wins ❤that the wayto get past the crash 💥 thanks BigAl California.
You Should Do 2016 Watkins Glen Finish Call
Holy Moly! Looks like rush hour on the I-5 in Santa Ana.
Reminds me of Nascar Thunder 2003 Lightning Challenge
Especially on Reddick’s on board, I thought that 34 was fence-bound when he went up the track
Imagine if he wasn’t clear of Brad when he came down, he could’ve done a blowover into the middle of the pack

20 years ago that block would’ve worked, it’s this stupid package, these stupid cars, and this stupid points system.
They should instate a one block move only after that you should be penalized
Don't let plate racing change your opinion on him this is just a product of this type of racing its a split second decision even the best drivers in the sport have made bad blocks before at these tracks.
Spotter's fault
I like how they kind of gave Kyle Busch fans some hope even though he was in that crash sitting at the start/finish line. lol

Such a bad move for McDowell....damn at 188mph
I’m baffled why scoring initially said Kyle Busch won this race
Timing and scoring registered another lap when he went backwards across the line after finishing, so it made it look like he was the only one who completed an extra lap.
Okay. Thanks

NASCAR TH-cam channel has a short where McDowell spotter told him to go back down the track, so i wouldn't say it was all McDowell fault
1:33 1:36
2:15 2:16
Can we make MRN do the cameras instead of fox. They always catch the crash before it happens. Fox be catching the wreck 10 laps after it happened
Where's bubba 😕
He wrecked before this
whoever's onboard this is at 4:19. Bruh
Might be Preece
🔥 ❤
If the 34 would've race the 6 side by side without blocking him half the field wouldn't of got wrecked out just saying.
Probably true but he also would've been shuffled out of the top 10 from the momentum everyone else had on him. I don't blame the man for going for the win
Did you put the audio and clips together?

2 block McDowell done screwed up
erik jones crash pls
2 blocks McDowell won the Daytona 500
If I'm Ford this morning I'm upset with mcdowell Ford had this win in the bag. But now Toyota and Chevy wins again and Ford still winless.
Ford still winless in 2024
Get rid of these restrictor plates its not racing
What a bull$&it finish. Hate NAPCAR
