Temu also steals small businesses ideas for products, and sometimes just sells the exact same product, or for an item of clothing they might just flat out steal the design someone running a small business made. I see how someone struggling with money might turn to Temu for cheap stuff, but an influencer!? Who is probably pretty comfortable in their financial situation, and yet still supports Temu , that’s what I don’t like about this video… :( Edit: didn’t mean to start a fight, and I’m not trying to force anything on anyone support temu or shein if you want I think everyone should atleast be aware of what they’re buying from.

I live in a small city so I only have one thrift store, that’s why I also make sure to regularly check if anyone is hosting a local flea market. If all else fails there are a bunch of second hand websites out there to order from. I use Vinted and tradera since depop is too expensive, but there are many more that are really cheap if you know where to look. And I only shop for my size so I can’t speak for other’s experience on finding items that fit but Jessica Blair made a great video on how to find cute second hand plus sized clothing. Furthermore for the comment on how some items are destroyed at thrift stores, shopping from companies such as temu also have the same risk since it’s often cheaply made. Now I do not know if she uses the items regularly or not. But companies similar to Temu, Shien, H&M etc profit from fast trends and overspending and these big hauls encourage people to buy items that they don’t really need and will most likely throw away a few months later since they aren’t built for the long term. And I admit that this is not a black and white topic but I also think that ignoring the bad practices of temu and shein to get a cute water fountain or a fuzzy pillow (like this girl does) is….bad.
