Yeah I'm starting to think this as well. Used to get a 1.5 cut often, but when I wolfed longer and didnt cut, waves were more darker deeper and in depth. Alot more visible and deeper.
Facts … I just chopped my waves down to at 1.5 last night but imma start cutting mine down to a 2 with a the guard closed. A few barbers told me to do a 4 against the grain to give it a even a thick look

If your barber doesn't comb With a Grain of your pattern or pick out your wave pattern, you should ask your barber to use a hair pick to pick out your waves or comb out the With the Grain of your wave pattern the clipper will cut off enough hair.
I'm a Nigerian waver(13)using my dad's account cutting your hair to 1 .5 adds definition and makes your waves wider and helps to break forks in way cuz your hair can be moved and changed more at that level the only reason you shouldnt is if your a beginner and still you can keep at a 2 with the grain or still 1.5 and for someone like you 360 juice you need it cuz your hair is really receeding
I feel the same i get 1.5 bald taper and as my hair grows back gives better definition as hair growing in with the brushing but im in texas i cant do a 2 my hair would be sticking up all the time from sweating

@@isaacogunmuko3947 my hair always get combed before. As I stated i think it’s more than one type of 2 guard because my uncle use to cut my hair with a 2 and it looked good but I go to barber shops and my 2 look like a Afro . He doesn’t cut anymore

I had 3 forks at the top I had to go on a 21 week wolf from scalp due to lock down when I cut it of only 1 fork at the top so wolfing rlly help also gained sooo much depth

Hi 360juice my waves come in at just above the 1.5 cuts so it makes sense that you go higher after each wolfed my barber cut my hair just above the 1.5 marks this time than the last time so the next time we go for a 2.0 to see if the waves show

I like a clean 1.5 after a few weeks of wolfing idk depends on the thickness and texture of your hair.

Only course hair wavers can cut their hair to a 1.5. People with medium/straight hair can cut down to a 2 guard to have better dept in your waves.💪
