Like any religion, you need to believe in the unproven. How far a strech is the question, Islam, Christianity, and Judaism are of the same family and have thousands of variations. Pick one we can examine it and find it's fallacies. The JW organization is an easy one to pick apart if only for the fact they left a trail of failed prophecy.

Hi Dr K. I have just subscrobed to your channel. As a God-fearing Christian, and having a friend in the JW religion, I have been seeking a good channel to speak with him about the inaccuracies in where he has placed his faith. God bless you and your family, and may the Holy spirit continue to guide you. Christ is Lord.

@@FallenCloud. Thank you. You have to be patient with him and keep praying for him for the Holy Spirit to open his mind. JW indoctrination is deep and there is a spirit of deception upon them. As you talk to him, focus on inconsistencies and contradictions for people who claim to know the truth, abuse of children, unfulfilled promises. You are likely to have less success attacking or pointing to scriptural misinterpretation.

Most truly I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him.q John 13:16 . Jesus was SENT BY GOD - and called as SERVANT OF GOD. Acts 4:27
WHO IS OVER ALL? Ephesians 4:6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. GOD and FATHER is OVER/ABOVE ALL and that "All" includes the SON so they are NOT EQUAL
THE BIBLE teaches that Jesus was MADE As Lord and Christ and as Son (ACTS 2:36, Prov 8, HEB 1:5), CREATED/PRODUCED/INSTALLED (Prov 8) , COME INTO BEING/MADE (Mat 21:42 - egeneto) and GIVEN LIFE by the Father - John 5:26 and it uses TODAY (Heb 1:5), and uses future tenses and is a prophecy in Isa 9:6 (Isa 9:6, - WILL BE) . If you are called MADE AND CREATED AND GIVEN LIFE, and NEVER CALLED in the BIBLE as Creator or Maker , then you are A CREATION. ALL FROM THE BIBLE
From the Lord was this (this is referring to the chief cornerstone who is Jesus) , the word WAS is egeneto (made or came into being) - Matthew 21:42 and the exact Greek word used in John 1:3 - MADE, egeneto (came into being) - JESUS WAS MADE/CAME INTO BEING FROM THE FATHER , yes, Jesus was MADE/CREATED!, See also Acts 2:36, Heb 1:5, 1 john 5
Jesus in FACT mentioned the FATHER IS GREATER than I am. JOhn 14:28. BEFORE he WAS SENT, the Father is ALSO GREATER than Jesus.
Most truly I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him.q John 13:16 . Jesus was SENT BY GOD - and called as SERVANT OF GOD. Acts 4:27
AFTER his resurrection the FATHER IS STILL GREATER than Jesus - WHO IS OVER ALL? Ephesians 4:6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. GOD and FATHER is OVER/ABOVE ALL and that "All" includes the SON so they are NOT EQUAL

As for cognitive dissonance, read the Bible and specifically the bit where Jesus says he will return before the last of his listeners dies. We can take it that they all are dead by now. What cognitive dissonance excuse will you find to justify this?

The basic doctrines have not changed. We still believed in the earthly paradise, we still do not believe in the immortality of the soul or in Hell. We believe that the only solution to humanity's problems is the Kingdom of God.
The other changes are small details that are subject to reinterpretation

      Dr.
Jesus clearly said that is not of our business to know the exact moment Christ will come.
So, the generation, 1914, 1919 and other beliefs are not nuclear to the christian belief.
These can be revised many times necessary. They just show our anxiety. The apostles made the same mistake and Jesus told them that is not of their business

    Hi,
I am not a Jehovah's witnesses but I do visit their meetings from time to time due to my lack of finding the right church for me. I find there is no such thing as the perfect church, every church has it's good and bad side, likewise the Jehovah witness. But I especially like the JW humility, dedication, how well organised they are, and their consistency.
I find most other churches lack consistency, they get bored with their order of service and start coming up with random stuff that you can't even reference in the bible. Whether it's Christmas, Ishtar, remembrance day for the military, musical instruments for entertainment or what not. Just like the isrealites, when they got bored of waiting for Moses in the wilderness, they made for themselves a golden calf and started entertaining themselves. But you are never going to find none of those random stuff with the Jehovah witness and that is what I like about them.
I feel like they set a very high standard for the church. I take everything I learn from them with a grain of salt. And I have learnt a lot from them especially in the areas of biblical principles and church structure. I also like the fact that their doctrine is centred around righteous living and sanctification. These things I believe I will find invaluable even when I do eventually find a home church. I would really love to be part of the Jehovah witness but I don't agree with them that there is no salvation outside of their organisation. I am saved already.
I also feel your experience within the organisation (good or bad) is more to do with the people in that particular congregation rather than the structure of the organisation in itself. I have been to some congregation and I see so much hate and hypocrisy that I wouldn't want to step foot in there ever again. And I have been to some other congregation, and the people are so warm and friendly it feels like heaven. This is my experience with them. Please give me your thoughts.
    Thanks!

The cognitive dissonance in JWs should be understandable by the Christian church because they hear Jesus say, in Matthew 5:18 that the Torah is still in effect, and they hear the church says it is not, and they listen to the church, just like JWs.
