TacoNBanana wasn't too bad but, I haven't been on it in years. When a single bar scene could take HOURS of IRL time, it's just no longer a worthwhile investment of time when you're working, going to school, and pursuing hobbies. If you're an adolescent and it's summer; that's viable but, otherwise, serious HL2RP is time consuming.

I have seen Combine trains go through these but what happens when a person on the train is not allowed through? Will the train stop to sort this out or will the said person be prrobably crushed by the train and the shield?

Hmm Could you make the Weapon system realistic? And Damages? Make it more tactical, you can kill Rebels & CPs in couple hits but a Little more to Soldiers?

It takes a considerable amount to acquire gear. Dying instantly everytime would ruin the fun.
