My TLF just went through. It took $5k off! I have not much left to pay off and loans are in forbearance, so I figured I won’t wait for PSLF.

    What are Perkins loans

They were a type of Federal student loan. They stopped being issued in September 2017, so a good amount of borrowers still have them.

It has to be at the same school for five years? How about if I worked in a low income district for 5 years

It has to be 5 consecutive years at a Title 1 low income school. It can be multiple schools, but they all must qualify and be consecutive.

For the Perkins forgiveness, if an elementary teacher who teaches general (all) subjects... does that count?

You must teach either at a qualifying Title 1 school, or teach certain qualifying subjects.

I know but I’m asking if I teach general education which includes all major subjects (math, English, science, etc) but I don’t have that specific degree in a certain field will that be considered qualified?

You can teach general education at a Title 1 school and it qualifies. If you're not teaching at a Title 1 school, general education doesn't qualify.

have been teaching since 2018 for about (7 years) in 3 different school districts, I taught Spanish in High school now I’m an ESL/EL High School Teacher. (3 Years in Private High School) (2 Public Sector) (1 Public low income)…I already applied for (PSLF) but because I have not made 120 payments I do not qualify. What can I do to be able to get my loans forgiven?

PSLF is the best program. You don’t apply - you certify your income. If you’ve already been certifying your employment for 7 years, you only have 3 years to go and you get forgiveness!

Question! Going to graduate in May as a math teacher. If I want the pslf option and I choose the PAYE or REPAYE, is that the most cost-effective method? I used an online calc and those two options would lower my monthly payment from 477 to 162. Would that make more sense to do than the standard loan payment option ($477/month)? Then do PSLF to forgive the rest? TIA!

Yes absolutely pick the income-driven play that gives you the lowest payment. Never pay more than you have to especially with PSLF.

College is the only professional self-respectful act a Teacher has done and now us tax payers have to pay for that too? So much for personal responsibility. Based on international education standings and national test results I'm more inclined to believe that its the Teachers who owe the tax payers.
