    The Bottom Line Should be South Africans First in all Fields which Can be filled Locally.
    A Foreign National has The option of Going back to his Country.A South African has no where to go.

    • @martinnyirenda2525
      @martinnyirenda2525 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @ Lerumo Newman The South African during the struggle had an option of "coming back to South Africa" which the locals where we were in our huge numbers did not have. They had no where to go while we were in their countries with their Governments supporting our struggle at huge financial expense and in some cases loss of life

    • @martinnyirenda2525
      @martinnyirenda2525 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Ezekiel Boikhutso It is not an issue of owing anyone anything. We just need to realise that the argument that we have no where else to go, though true, was also true of the people in the countries where we were during the struggle.

      @@martinnyirenda2525 "we were" it wasn't even close to a hundred thousand south Africans in exile, why should we have millions of illegal immigrants with nothing to give?

    • @martinnyirenda2525
      @martinnyirenda2525 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@nnn8502 You raise two matters and I will respond to both.
      First, how do you arrive at such numbers? There are no official stats available, at least i have not seen them, that tabulate how many went into exile. Wish the powers that be can publish such numbers officially.
      While some went to join the struggle as MK'S, there were others that went as "economic refugees", not necessarily to fight but also to seek greener pastures. There were a number of families in that state in the town we lived.
      Second, the numbers of illegal immigrants. This is also a difficult statistic. It is probably a number that includes legals as well as illegals. We will know, hopefully, after the current census the numbers of foreigners. Hope the Stats SA can publish the numbers of both legals and illegals separately.
      We are only going to resolve the illegal crisis if people in positions of authority stop looking for "skaftin". As long as we have such individuals who want to personally benefit from their positions, we will live with this problem for a very long time. So we need to have people who have a national interest in positions of power.
      Another thing we need to do is regulate certain sectors of the economy as "Citizens Only" sectors. All business opportunities that do not need a lot of capital to start- SPAZA, Hair Saloon, Barbe Shop, House Keepers, Pre-School Teachers, MUST be "Citizens Only". No Foreigner, Legal or Illegal, should be allowed to operate in these sectors. Foreign Business people MUST bring money to Invest so that employment can be created for Locals. All these foreigners running Spaza shops, if legally here, must be given an ultimatum to convert their licences into a General Dealer or a Mini Supermarket or whatever licence exists. If not converted, the licence must be cancelled and the traders deported if non compliant. We need our people in authority just to enforce the law and stop looking for "skaftin".
      The other challenge we will face will be the numbers of foreigners once the Africa Free Trade policy becomes fully operational. By the way, we have already signed it. They are just working out the logistics of how it will function to the benefit of ALL African countries. Last time i checked, of the 54 countries in Africa, 53 had agreed and signed. Only Eritrea was still to sign up. South Africa is also one of the countries that has ratified it. We have signed up and ratified it. This will allow Africans to live and work in any African Country. So we will have more fellow Africans in South Africa then. So we need to begin to make peace with the fact that Africans are OUR PEOPLE. We just need a proper policy on illegals, African or non African. Our systems are porous and need a complete overhaul.

      @ Teacher Fosu TV There is a stigma associated with Skills training in this country. If you DID NOT go to University, you are not as respected. That mindset has to change FIRST.
      Apart from that, are you aware that most courses in FET have become THEORY? Though there are existing workshops, learners rarely do any practicals at all. So what skills will they learn in a Theoretical course that is supposed to be practical? I would not be suprised if Lecturers use those workshops as Private Businesses over the weekends?

The government's policy has been to allow an influx of immigrants into South Africa through its legally designated entry points as well as its porous borders, much like a "Zola Budd" Taxi driver who for the sake of money decides to overload his Taxi. Then when the Taxi begins to strain in the middle of nowhere in the journey due to its load, the Taxi driver (knowing well, the consequences of his statement that they might start quarrels and fights from the passengers), decides to rudely inform his passengers to alight and choose between enduring the discomforts of the taxi ride for the rest of the journey or finding their way back to where he picked them from. That's unfortunately the headache that the proverbial Taxi driver is sitting with at the Union Buildings.

    This is the ANCs response to the rise of Action SA and it's loss of power in Tshwane and Joburg metros. Mashaba has been the biggest winner of elections. Now there are 4%of foreigners by population in SA according to Numsa and yet the unemployment rate is at 46%. Now even if every single foreigner was removed from SA the unemployment numbers would still be very high. Secondly , how is it that the jobs of locals are being taken when most foreigners at a low skill level as self employed or on short contracts e.g barber shops and hair dressers in JHB are doing it themselves, spaza owners are also self employed . If locals wanted to do this there is nothing that stops them because they have more local support in terms of financing than foreigners do. Thirdly the reason any foreigner will always do well is because they come with an unmatched level of ambition and work ethic that locals ado not possess. If even a poor South African found themselves in New York it would not come as a surprise to see them doing really well and cause a stir amongst a more complacent contingent of New Yorkers. It's just how it is when you are foreign, you see opportunities where others don't. This is what made America into the hard working country it is, it's because it's a nation if immigrants. Now the ANC unfortunately knows better and is seeking to do whatever it can to cling to power, is it not suspect that right after the election in November last year debate was being had about the Zim visa being issued?It's because they lost ground and Action SA became King maker. Whenever the ANC doesn't do well it seems to adopt the policies of other parties and make them their own like they did with the EFF on land....and failed. People must not be fooled. These are signs that the government knows that it cannot grow the economy and it is scapegoating foreign nationals. There is no doubt that some foreigners are engaged in crime and border jumping, but a functional government would easily deal with this by for example ensuring there is in fact a border fence ( but we know how the fence looks🤦🏾‍♂️) and border management. If SAPS were themselves doing their jobs and not extorting foreigners for money themselves and taking bribes maybe , just maybe the levels of crimes in some areas perpetrated by a few foreigners would be lower. The govt just needs to do its job. Give visas to high skilled people because it's the right thing and it will help the economy and yes , ensure strict border management and no border jumping as it is the lowest skilled workers who would do such and have nothing to lose even if they got a criminal record. The AnC is corrupt and failing to do its job of leading society and the conversation is being taken over by new parties. The ANC is refusing to reform itself and instead is attacking its own Constitution and the judiciary unfairly for its own failings to manage the country. Poor South Africans must also wake up to the idea of living in other countries like Zimbabwe, Angola, Zambia and even Ghana and it will give them a profound sense of hope as they will see opportunities in those countries and it may also inspire them to see that they have it pretty nice when compared to other African countries. People not getting an hourly rate anymore. But 2% of they sales for the month…imagine. But then he asked me if I am a South - African I said yes. I have 11 years of experience plus management. He never phoned me back and I even lived 10 minutes away. I am sure he took a foreign person, because most of the time foreigners in restaurants will work more hours for less money. And I know the law working in the hospitality industry for so Long… I saw all this stuff happen. Most of the time the problem is with the owners of the shops as well, they want to see where they can save money.
