Decks Dark and How to Disappear Completely..they are like bookends to me. Both Incredible and both take you far and away to aural landscapes. Radiohead are undeniably one of the greatest bands ever. Masters of their craft.
This is one of their best albums easily for me. Very dark... kinda understandable due to his separation from his wife of 23 years, who sadly died shortly after this albums release. But sublime, very heavy Johnny Greenwood influence also which is always good.
Tbh ‘a moon shaped pool’ is the only album I never bought of theirs, as I was generally disappointed with ‘king of limbs’ (‘codex’ being the only stand out track to me), the album that preceded it. As a result have only heard ‘burn the witch’ from it (which I kind of enjoyed, but couldn’t tell you why ;-P), but tbh I rather liked this track, surprisingly, so now am seriously considering buying the album, so thanks for that alone ;-)
@@matthewparkinson5462 I just listened to that track…. Aye, it’s pretty good, lyrically & musically both fitting together well…. I especially like the lyrics; very hopeful & uplifting. ^^
Ah really? AMSP is in my top 4 Radiohead albums. It’s probably their most beautiful album, worth a really great usage of orchestral sounds - it’s masterfully produced. Daydreaming is one of the best Radiohead songs written - I love the entire album! Let me know what you think when you listen to the whole thing!

I am obsessed with this song at the moment.
It has so many layers and small details. Every drop of guitar note is lovely
probably my favourite track, from their best album, in my opinion.
It is an amazing song ! I love listening to this while I am driving in the mountains here in Colorado.
What a devastating cut.
Shock & Awe.
watching people also obsess over songs i love is the best please never stop making music

Could not agree more! It’s a beautiful but very dark album

Listen to the album version of 'the numbers', absolutely sublime
Ok, I’ll check it out & let you know what I think…. Thanks for the suggestion 😏

@@Oldman4128 I think it's their best use of strings on the album and that's saying something. Glad you enjoyed it, it's a great album overall
