Under "Keyboards," click on the "Add a keyboard" button.
Select "Urdu (Pakistan) - Phonetic" or the relevant phonetic layout option.
    Switch Between Keyboard Layouts:
Once you have added the Urdu phonetic keyboard layout, you can switch between keyboard layouts using the language bar or by using a keyboard shortcut (usually Alt + Shift).
Use the Phonetic Layout in Microsoft Word:
Open Microsoft Word or any other text editing application.
Make sure the keyboard layout is set to the phonetic Urdu layout (you'll see the language indicator on the taskbar).
Start typing in English letters according to the phonetic representation of Urdu characters. The system will automatically convert them into Urdu characters.
    Open Settings:
On Windows 10, right-click on the Start menu and select "Settings."
On Windows 11, click on the Start button, then click the gear-shaped "Settings" icon.
Go to "Time & Language": In the Settings window, click on "Time & Language."
Select "Language" in the left sidebar.
Under "Preferred languages," click on your currently selected language and then click "Options."
Under "Keyboards," click "Add a keyboard."
Scroll down and look for the phonetic keyboard layout that corresponds to your language.
For Hindi, you can add "Hindi (Phonetic)."
For other languages, look for phonetic layouts that match your language.
**Once added, you can switch between your regular keyboard layout and the phonetic layout by pressing "Windows Key + Space" or using the language bar in the taskbar.
Method 2: Add a Third-Party Phonetic Keyboard Layout
If the built-in phonetic keyboard layouts don't meet your requirements, you can also add third-party phonetic keyboard layouts. Here's how to do it using Microsoft's Keyboard Layout Creator:
Download and Install Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator (MSKLC):
You can download MSKLC from the Microsoft Download Center.
    Install and Run MSKLC:
Follow the installation instructions to install MSKLC on your computer.
    Once installed, run the program.
    Create a New Keyboard Layout:
In MSKLC, click on "File" and select "New."
Choose a base keyboard layout (e.g., US English).
    Edit the Keyboard Layout:
You can now customize the layout to create a phonetic keyboard. To do this, click on each key and assign the phonetic character or symbol you want.
    Save the Keyboard Layout:
After creating your custom phonetic layout, click on "File" and select "Save Source File." Save it with a descriptive name.
    Build the Installer Package:
Click on "Project" and select "Build DLL and Setup Package." This will generate an installer for your custom phonetic keyboard layout.
Install Your Custom Phonetic Keyboard Layout:
Run the installer package generated in the previous step.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install your custom phonetic keyboard layout.
Switch to Your Custom Phonetic Layout:
After installation, you can switch to your custom phonetic layout just like you would with the built-in layouts.
