Thanks for alerting me to this on another video. Two things stand out - one from ALL the times I've watched this & other Django youtubes. Never been to Paris but spent a lot of time in little clubs in The French Quarter. I've tried to envision sitting in a small club with cocktails listening to their music while the world outside was going to hell in 1939. (The Paris scene in "Casablanca") The other thing - I don't know a damned thing about technique. But you mentioned the 3 guitars of the The Quintette. Made me think of the special sound of the 3 guitars of Lynryd Skynyrd most prominently displayed in Oakland at The Coliseum in 1977. But thanks for this!
@@anitadavideduo You're right, I didn't check it out properly. _Au temps pour moi_ (a French military fanfare expression used by musicians when they made a mistake). My bad.
Love the Django guitar secrets! & the Grappelli story! More videos please!!!

Two finger master.
Django's St Louis Blues might be the best recorded guitar piece ever
Finally someone with taste. Could not agree more
You mean the 1937 Paris recording?
Yup! Ya gotta love that!
Enjoyed your reaction. Any chance you would react to some Wes Montgomery videos? For example "West Coast Blues" live from 1965.
Always magic video and wonderful Italian song ;-)
French song interpreted by an Italian singer, Rina Ketty.
@@chucku00 Tornerai is the original Italian song
