TP's you can go all the way down to 1.5-1.6 for optimal grip. ARBS can be 1-40 on the cadillac to maximize rotation. Never go negative on roll center offset. There is a tuning "meta" right now, that higher roll center offset basically gives you more grip overall. It's dumb but it is what it is. Any car you tune, start with +5 and +5 roll center front and rear until you find what feels good. If the car is too understeery, give less roll center front, and more rear. If it's too oversteery give more in front and less in rear. Most cars run equal front and rear. (examples, M8, AMG, use equal front and rear, 720 GT3 ad 488 GT3 use more in front to dial out some oversteer). 0% decel diff and 45-55% accel diff for the cadillac. The higher your accel diff, the more the car will want to push wide when accelerating if a car has understeer tendencies. Bump stiffness is good, rebound you can go 13-13 since it makes the car more agile in transitions.
Thanks for the tips, very useful. I used the Forza Tune app to have a base. The results were pretty mediocre. Something was missing and I couldn't find it. I didn't even know the meta with roll center off set. The App ignore it completely. That's what worked in the end and I had some very good races in the P2 series. I almost ended up on the podium recently. Unfortunately, I never tried the hard tires before my hard/soft strategy. And I fought against the tires for half the race. Shortly before the pit stop I was in 4th place, I wasn't paying attention for a second and spun out. That cost me three places. Still very fun, thanks to your tips.
I honestly think they try and push the rain races to increase the number of people who have raced in the rain.. even when you do free play and set weather to random is almost always is rain & if you set the track to random it’s VIR a lot of the time because a lot of people don’t like the track
Yes, me too I've found this car very funny. Not so easy compared to slower cars, but fair enough for people like me, not having much experience in sim racing. Btw, I play with a pad. I don't like to spend time in making settings and then I usually look for something done by other people. This works fine for me.
To put some perspective on the (limited) available cars in Proto-H, I've done 2 races on Thursday (one with the acura and cadillac DPi cars) and nothing but struggled with them. You *must* tune those to get them to behave when accelerating out of corner, it's unreal (in my hands at least) without TC wich is really frustrating. Even after tuning (wich i sort of managed after 5 freaking hours of trial and error), you still require refined throttle control. You have to really underdrive them. *BUT* the LMDH caddy (the car you drove)... It drives as smooth as butter. Completly different experience, even with the stock tune (in a positive sense). None of the complaints i have with the DPi's exist with the LMDH car. I'm sure i'll get one good, decently fun and clean race out of this soon enough
Interesting. I didn't try the Acura much, but it felt okay to me. Maybe because I drive with TC at Sport. Have to try the Acura properly in races I guess and see for myself, if this has to be tuned quite a lot different.
@@HDeeRacing i'd start running the acura in rivals without TC to feel the difference. After 10 something hours, i just gave up and switched to the LMDH Cadillac because the DPi acura and Caddy are just undriveable, even with a tune (at least when not using TC wich i don't prefer to do). It wouldn't be the first time as the Ginetta LMP1 car is in a similar scenario in my opinion.
And yes, we need a radar. Badly! I`m on controller but I play in cockpit view. In some cars you can see nothing. Other things we need: Adjust your position in cockpit.
i didn't get around to mp on forza. i uninstalled after a patch or two because i didnt have faith they'd ever optimize the game but i hear it's basically a bumper car simulator i was able to check the physics though. i didn't hate it. it's arcadey but in a fun way. did forza ever get fixed for pc? i'll resign up for pc game pass if it's fixed
The only thing i dislike about the Proto-H's is how heavy they feel under braking or turning. You really have to be super-careful with sharp turns as they will really understeer a lot. Otherwise, tho they are a lot of fun and fast top speed too.
Yeah, especially after trying Le Mans Ultimate, I expected them to feel quite oversteery at low speeds, but it's not the case in Forza. Still fun though, as you said.
I haven't shared the tune on Forza this time, it's not really that great. You can try the same concept on the other Caddilac as well, though I've heard that it drives quite differently, so not sure how well that works.
Nothing for me this week. The P class races are too chaotic for me because the majority of players don't have the cars under control. The same applies to the prototypes. And then we have the E series, which is so slow and boring that I'm skipping it too. Hopefully next week there will be another A, S or R series that you can drive because they are less chaotic. Normally I would have avoided the spotlight races. Unfortunately I can't get along with this Porsche. I just can't get the car tuned to my liking and can't find one to download. A real shame.

I really expected these cars to be quite a handful and was really surprised how planted at least the Cadillac feels.
Feel the same with these cars, easy to drive, but understeer issues at both low and high speeds, but still fun
I'm gonna try some of the others cars if I have time, I've heard that they are not all as bad as the Caddilac.

It has gotten better, but not to the point where I'm happy with the PC optimization yet.
I just can't stand the Cadillac, so much understeer. I end up using the Acura that was gifted and I'm easily 2 to 3sec faster a lap at Maple Valley
