    Glad you worked out how to get all the iron melted. Tragic that there wasn't enough iron for those pours. Just off the top of my head, since it looks like you do everything up in cad, it seems like there should be a way to get the cad program to spit out an estimated volume or weight of iron required. Stay warm

    If you are looking for some other ideas, perhaps building a more complex pattern or a special core box. Great to see you back.

    Don't listen to the nay Sayers. I've been giving you thumbs up for even trying to accomplish such an arduous endeavor. I DO have a question: Would this have been a big enough locomotive to sit on & ride around on your property?????? If so, what gauge are you building????
