Glad you worked out how to get all the iron melted. Tragic that there wasn't enough iron for those pours. Just off the top of my head, since it looks like you do everything up in cad, it seems like there should be a way to get the cad program to spit out an estimated volume or weight of iron required. Stay warm

Oh man western PA is worse than central. I hear Erie is buried in snow.
If you are looking for some other ideas, perhaps building a more complex pattern or a special core box. Great to see you back.

Sometimes it's best to just machine a piece from solid stock.
