I love this story,my mother and I were just talking about it,and the fact people don't believe in miracles now. It's awful,you can see the miracles every day,but even some churches are saying they're a thing of the past,and God doesn't preform miracles now! Don't believe it! It's truly incredible how God performed a miracle; three months apart as a means of displaying His providential power causing John to be six months older than Jesus. First, Elizabeth conceived John, then three months later after Mary conceived through the work of the Holy Spirit, she came to visit Elizabeth. By infusing the DNA of God Himself into a human woman's egg, our Creator God and man were eternally united. SIN is a condition we inherited from Adam for his rebellion & Fall in Eden. It affects every aspect of our lives like a cancer, because it is embedded into our DNA. Jesus came to destroy the works of the Devil, meaning we are no longer bound to be controlled by our sinful nature and/or suffer the condemnation under the Law, as we once were up to the point of the cross at Calvary. Only the Creator God could save humanity, but it was mankind who sinned, thus it required a very unique human that could be the propitiation for mankind's sin; that person was Jesus Himself. I thank God He came down from heaven to be fused with humanity, because He was the only way for our salvation from the consequences of SIN we all inherited and possess in our lives, for none are good... only the Man, Jesus of Nazareth, the Anointed One is. I thank God the Father that He who lives evermore will soon come back to collect His faithful when He appears in the clouds above. May all who want a better life come to the knowledge that we are saved by God's grace but mostly our faith in Jesus, and that our relationship will be firmly established in Him (a life of obedience to God's Law (all 10 of them) based on loving gratitude to Him) before mankind's probation closes. Whoever told you that, does not know the Scriptures. Read about the Ark of the Covenant and how it was adorned. Gabriel is described as having wings. Read Revelations, it too, describes angels as having wings. There are also instances of angels that could change forms to look like man, a good example of this is when we are told to do good to man lest they are entertaining angels unaware. In other words, Scripture has multiple instances of angel being described as having wings.
