When I first heard this as a teen, I was blown away. It was so different and unlike any genre I had experienced. This makes me feel so young and untouchable like it did when I first heard my heartbeat almost louder than the drums. Does that make me a geek? who cares, I just got happy! Time is so fleeting, enjoy it you youngsters! Make it COUNT! Do something that is gonna MATTER! I'm praying for all our youth, I know things are tough on you guys. Need advice? Drop by my channel! Saw Big Country a couple of times, last time was at Knebworth when they were one of Queens support acts, they were a great band love their music still !!!!

they still mean something now, in 2011, look at the dancers in the rain, enjoyment, pure , i loved em then, love em more now. At the time i always wondered why other shite bands got on telly more coz no-one was more on it, especially live than big country.Ask anyone who saw them blow bowie away live at wembley.

It's a damn shame these guys weren't bigger than they were. It certainly wasn't for a lack of talent. God knows they had that in abundance. Their record company didn't know how to market them. Thank God for TH-cam as I never had a chance to see BC in America. RIP Stuart, you will live forever in your music.

I was very lucky to have seen this band , they lifted the roof off a very small town in SW Scotland , Been to lotsa concerts with lotsa big names ...never seen better live band....this band stays in my heart forever.

Grew up with Zep and the rest from the 70's but this band is one that made the 80's a great decade also ..........Something awful happened in the 90's though .......Someone got the bright idea that rock needed to be contrasted with hip-hop ;......More divisive crap from todays divisive media establishment .

+musicsunhappy It is painful to think about it isnt it, when you listen to the lyrics. The song to me is about spitting in the face of adversity and defiantly dragging yourself back when everything seems against you,. Then we go and lose the man who wrote such wonderful words of life affirming encouragement in that way. Much as I still love the music, it is tinged with sadness now. Especially watching a performance like this where he seems so happy and enjoying himself. Like you I always wonder Why? The human mind and emotions are mysteries, even though we think we understand them.
I really like Big Coutry and despise U2 . I could not understand why everybody loves U2 when bands that are better than them such as Big Countryand The Alarm don't get any recognition

they were not UNDERATED!!! they were HUGE!! saw them on the seer tour at brum nec,8000 people!! me ,my bro and sister got left behind by the coach company because we hopped the barrier (left the stiffs!haha) n got down n dirty at the front!! xxx

I saw them this same year, and it was one of the ten best (out of hundreds) of live shows I remember. Stuart had such energy and enthusiasm; I recall him lifting a woman in the front up on stage with her disposable camera, and he took pictures of her with the band and himself. I wonder about those photos, now.
