Would you advise for a multinational e-commerce website that has less than 200 products and no blog or other content, to have separate sitemaps for each country, or you only advise using more than 1 sitemap when there is really lots and lots of urls? You say "if your site gets huge, split it up into multiple sitemaps".. 1. Define: "huge". 2. is size the only deciding factor, or.. as i was asking above, is it worth dividing by countries?
You can have 5 sitemaps with one URL in each. There is no requirement for having multiple sitemaps. You can for sure divide them into sepeare sitemaps, but it makes no difference for indexing. If it is more organized, sure, great, but the only time you need more sitemaps is with 50k+ URLs, if you don't have that many URLs, do whatever you want. One of my sites has 2 sitemapindexes linking to 400-500 sitemaps each, and each sitemap have 2k URLs. Would have made no difference if I put 3k URLs in each sitemap.
Is last updated different from the mod date it I keep the post where it is and don't move it to the front of the blog? Just making small tweaks or updating links- not a full rewrite of the post. Thank you
The websites haven't have too much pages or have limited pages on it don't need a site map. Additionally if you add sitemap on it having 7 - 8 pages will not affect to your website.
@@_mr_mehndiratta8207 sounds like you're sayimg that if a website has fewer than 8 pages, and they're all accessible from the Home Page navigation, them they don't need a sitemap. Is that correct?
As always, simple and to the point. Thank you!
