'The Season - BBC' is a welcome return to Miskin Oval, where the rugby world looks in search of hope amidst a pandemic period bereft of sport on any level. Queensland remains intact and - despite limited crowd numbers - the 2020 GPS rugby season continues unabated. After a heartbreaking previous year, the Green White Black are favourites to collect the long awaited Premiership - and their inaugural stand alone title - after many decades. However joint favourites Nudgee College and perennial giant-killers Brisbane State High stand in their way.
This intriguing and inspiring journey shines a light on one of the country's leading schools through the prism of sport as the students embark on a unique adventure where their character is put to the test - not only on the field of play - but in their daily service to the school and each other.
Life is bigger than wins and losses. And adversity and success are critical teachers. 'The Season' allows audiences to experience these lessons vicariously through the BBC rugby program during their greatest sporting moment and inside the inevitable re-build is necessary to future-proofs that legacy into the future.
