TOTALLY!!! The landlord pays for 2 nights at the motel/hotel, plus the exterminator however many times, & airmattresses for all of you for however long you needed them.... What else do you expect??? Besides allowing you to break the lease without charge!!! I don't understand what more you want???
Judge is totally wrong here. The fact that home had beg bugs before and was "treated" with sprays is enough to say, that home always had bed bugs and it was never really taken care about. Only HEAT kills them. No spray kills bed bugs or gets rid of them.Bed bugs can live over a year without any food aka blood. Anytime someone says bed bugs were treated with sprays etc RUN! only HEAT kills them and their eggs. Bed bugs are like zombies. 1 bed bug can turn into 100 bed bugs within weeks. Same with hotel rooms. If the room has a bedbug, I'm leaving the entire building and not moving to another room.
You're right! And she would have said her damages actually exceeded that [$30K]. You know: kids are traumatized, therapy sessions needed, high-blood pressure, anxiety,......
So she didn’t want have anyone that could remove the mattresses? I don’t think bedbugs live in or on TV’s. The exterminator gave her $50 to heat dry her clothes and such? Wow that’s a nice man!
Not saying the landlord isn't responsible but my daughter said they had bed bugs at the casino and there was a few times when I worked at a nursing home. My coworker had all these marks on her arms, I don't remember what she said happened but my other coworker said "she has bed bugs"! Glory be to God I didn't bring them home. That's why I absolutely hate staying in hotels, riding in Ubers etc. however you can't not live. Lol. I had a friend who had to throw everything away. My Lord it's so crazy what those bugs cause
Did the Plaintiff think this case through before bringing it to court?? Lol......Her story was sooo far stretch it is unbelievable. I think the Landlord did exactly what she was obligated to do. Exterminate several times, put the Plaintiff up in hotel for 2 nights, and allowed her to break the lease.. What more did the Plaintiff expect
I wish I had a landlord like this lady. Good landlords are hard to find as are good tenants. I feel nervous complaining about mould in my property because ultimately it is difficult to prove how it came to be, so I deal with it best that I can and inform landlord of anything major. Those bugs came with her at some point and she was clearly taking advantage.
They are terrible and so hard to get rid of. If you have them bad they have to tent your house and it's expensive 😢. They can use heat to eradicate them but its like an 8 hour process. She trying for a money grab
Why is it that people with no money, on public assistance, can't pay their bills, come on here and sue for a zillion dollars for all the expensive stuff they claim to have lost.
The bed bugs were there already. I had the same issue. Management refused to pay to treat the apartment. I moved from one unit within the complex to another for more space. I was immediately bitten and had idea what was biting me. Pest control came out and checked my furniture and beds. No signs. The exterminator told me bed bugs can live in electrical sockets and come out at night. The one that bit me was huge. They crawl up walls and live in corners as well. I bought spray, diatomaceous clay, and rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle. Alcohol kills them on site. I moved out the following month.
She can't rightly claim the bed bugs were from the prior tenant two years before. That's ridiculous! If they were there when she moved in, they would have started biting her then. They wouldn't magically wait until she had the baby and came home from the hospital to start feastin. She just isnt accepting the fact that she or the kids brought them in. Even a dog or cat can bring them in. The judge tried to get her to see that to no avail.
@ cornball for sure. She has a few of them. The worst is the “I try, Ive watched that Chris Rock special” when she does cases involving African American women. 😂 I’m like “nooooo it’s coming” 😆
I feel so sorry for these kids being saddled with these moms who don’t prioritize them. She got a brand new baby where is the dad to help with his resources? She doesn’t have any Money for the clothes but a brand new baby. Stop breeding with bums🤦🏽♀️
Girl, if they’d been there when you moved in, you and the kids would’ve been bitten immediately, not MONTHS later! The landlord was more than gracious, and you just need to stop. Sidenote: How in HECK could anyone mistake a bedbug for a daggone ladybug? 😂 I’ve never seen a bedbug in person either, but I have enough sense to know that it is a small pest, and it isn’t a beetle.
Bed bugs is NOT sprying... it is a tent with heat @ 120degrees to kill the bugs and you have to THROW away the mattress and some other items! NOT TVs Ma'am....
Actually, there are plenty of places that do that. I know a local exterminating company in my town that has three bedbug dogs. They actually inspect high-rise senior apartment buildings with them.
@@anjuelle3997 nothing’s wrong with it I have six currently in a six bedroom house. But for a shared two family apartment it’s a bit unrealistic. There is a possibility, but that would also show her priorities are in the wrong place. I think securing a safe home should be more important.
So no bed bugs but the pest control was checking the home a week before she moved in for……wait for it….BED BUGS. Why? 🤔 Why would an exterminator check for bed bugs the same months she’s moving in IF there wasn’t a recent issue??? I’m wait!!!
Plaintiff said she just come home from the hospital from having a baby. Chances are she or her kids brought the bed bugs home then. If she left all that stuff behind, that's all on her... She was just looking for a payout...
No, the place was infested before she moved in. The landlord and the other tenant informed her about needing to treat the place. These infestations are impossible to get rid of - they live with out feeding for two years. Spraying just gets them to disappear for 6 months.
Need bugs will live for 2 years without a blood meal and they will go in furniture and televisions and the heat from a television will not kill bedbugs
She probably got BBs at the hospital when she popped the baby out. Yes, that can happen. BBs don’t come back every 2 years… what an idi0t. Those poor kids will grow up to be just as dumb
Damn, that scam fell apart pretty quick.

I wonder how many different times this woman tried to pull that stunt. Probably more than one time.
What scam?? They checked for bed bugs right before she moved in….why?
Plaintiff was just looking for a payday.
And bed bug infestation does travel from room to room. Not just stay in one room for 6 months. Plaintiff is a professional squatter.
4 televisions and no money to do laundry 🧺
Ridiculous as heck. I would’ve been too embarrassed to even admit that crap.
Amazing landlord ♥️♥️♥️
Nothing but a money grab.

I'm willing to bet that if the small claims court maximum was 30 grand in her state, she would have sued for 30 grand.
You're right! And she would have said her damages actually exceeded that [$30K]. You know: kids are traumatized, therapy sessions needed, high-blood pressure, anxiety,......
Yup. Then "she needs to buy me a new car because I found bedbugs in my car".
That's the American way! Stop crying
Blacks
She came home from the hospital and then started noticing bedbugs. I guess the hospital is infested? SMH
If I were this landlord, I would have contacted her prior to find out if she left with them there. Would definitely put the plaintiff's claim TO BED!
She thought they were “ladybugs!”😂😂
So she didn’t want have anyone that could remove the mattresses? I don’t think bedbugs live in or on TV’s. The exterminator gave her $50 to heat dry her clothes and such? Wow that’s a nice man!
I would never want to be called the bug man😂😂😂😂😂
No such thing as one bed bug/roach
Maybe the reason bed bugs stay anywhere for 2 years is because they have a 2 year lease?😐🤦♂️
I love this comment.

I knew she wasn't going to win. Just trying to scam the landlord.
She brought those bed 🛏️ bugs with her
Homegirl brought them from her previous place or the hospital that she was at for a couple days. Hmmmm
I have fly😅s who do I sue

Waka Waka Roo Roo😂
The plaintiff just wanted money
"Yes your honor," because I'm greedy & dishonest.
Rhodesia walked in looking like she just got off the bus😂and we just having babies with no commitment 😢

That’s a lie JM . You’re supposed to throw out everything
The bed bugs won't be talking
I cringe every time she uses that joke 😅

They had to give the plaintiff a sweater to put on because of what she wore to court
I do feel she should be compensated for the months she couldnt use the other rooms via a rent abatement.
Someone who doesn’t know the difference between a bedbug and a ladybug shouldn’t be having children.
4 tvs and no money 🤔

The Wynn in Las Vegas actually has dogs that detect the presence of bed bugs. It's the only place so far that does.
That is amazing.

@@daltonshull4077 I should have been more specific - I meant on The Strip in Las Vegas.
FOUR televisions.
One for each brat, prolly has 12 tvs now & dunno any of the 12 babydaddies lol
What's wrong with having four televisions? I'm just wondering.
YA AND ON WELFARE N SECTION 8...
