We are Jacob and Jenny, a husband and wife passionate about traveling the world. We started uploading in May, 2021 with a goal to see as much of the globe as possible. After visiting Costa Rica and French Polynesia, the time was right to quit our full-time jobs, so we left everything to travel and have loved every minute of it. Our goal is to make it to all seven continents and visit as many countries as possible. Follow along and be a part of the journey!

For cold noodles, need to cut noodles first and mix it up all together, then much more delicious, if too spicy, please add some water. Hope you try next time :)
That makes sense!! Thanks for much for the information and for watching :)
너무 매울때는 물이 아니고 '냉면 육수'를 더 넣어서 먹어요~^^
Not just pure water but meatyish broth. Pour water and you will ruin it.
If you ask for it, it will be free in most cold noodle place.
Hello, how was your trip to Korea? Wherever you are, always be healthy and happy I'm Kim Jung-hoon from Daily Korea News. 💕
Korea is quite safe, so eat beer and chicken at night in Euljiro and enjoy the night culture. It will be a new experience, and memorable.
We have felt extremely safe in Korea! It is amazing. Thanks for watching :)
한국 오신 것 환영합니다.
Welcome to Seoul. Enjoy your trip~~^^. Night time is safe and good for street walking in Seoul.
Thank you very much! Seoul is gorgeous and we can't wait to see more parts of Korea as well :)
It is a good thing we have lots of helpful people on TH-cam to teach us :) thank you for watching!
냉면도 식초 겨자 넣지도 않고
섞고 저어서 먹지 않고
그냥 그대로 옆에서부터
건져먹네요..
In the past, there was a saying that eating long noodles will lead to a long life, but these days, it is inconvenient to eat, so most people cut it and eat it.
That is so interesting! Well, we didn't cut the noodles so maybe we will have a long life haha :) thanks for watching!
서울에 온걸 환영해요🎉. Enjoy your trip in beautiful Seoul Korea😊
Thank you so much! It's amazing :)
Scissors are commonly used in Korea to cut food (meat, noodles, kimchi, etc.). Don't be afraid to try it. You will find it very convenient and efficient.
That is great to know! Thank you for the information :)
Thank you for expressing Korea in a good way as a Korean.
We are hoping to come back soon! Thanks for watching :)
I hope you have nice experiences in Korea. If you don't know dirctions, don't hesitate to ask locals in Korea. Usually koreans want to help you.
Seoul has been so amazing! For sure one of our favorite cities :) The locals have been very nice, it is so sweet. Thank you for watching!
Scissors are available at all Korean restaurants for cutting everything from noodles to pancakes to bbq meat. I recommend you try jeon (Korean pancakes) with makgeolli, fried chicken and beer, pork belly, seafood, the list goes on. Korea has a great culinary landscape. Shame on your Korean friend for not introducing you to Korean cuisine sooner.
All of those foods sound soooo amazing!! We can't wait to eat them all. Thank you for that wonderful list of food and thanks so much for watching :)
YES! that scissor is for cutting noodles~
that "cutting" makes easier to eat noodles:)
Hahaha that makes sense! Thanks for letting us know :)
Props to you guys; those noodles are hard to eat without cutting them! The area that restaurant is in is called Insadong. It's a very traditional, albeit rather touristy, neighborhood.
Hahaha they really were hard to eat 😂 so interesting. Thanks for your comment :)
Please enjoy the streets of Hongdae, Gangnam and Kondae, ... at NIGHTS. You can realize another side of Korea
That sounds great! Thank you very much for the recommendation :)
i recently visited Korea and I miss it. I love seeing you guys going to places I visited. Seoul so busy with so many ppl but certain part there are beautiful parks and mountains to hike. Please visit National Museum of Korea. It's huge alot of things to see and outside has garden and its connected to park as well. If you guys are thinking about going to Busan, visit Haedong Yonggungsa Temple. Beautiful view. I don't know about taking bus to temple tho it was way too many ppl taking it. lol
We are so happy you can relive your trip a little through our videos! Thank you for all those wonderful recommendations :) we were reading about that temple as well but it did seem a little difficult to get to!
You guys are so open minded and have such good energy. Have fun. Hilarious watching you eat the cold noodle.
Thank you so much for your kind words! Hahaha eating the cold noodles was so funny! 😂
Naengmyeon is a unique Korean noodle dish that you eat in summer, which means cold noodles, and You guys are eating the wrong way.Usually, Cold noodles are eaten put meat broth in naengmyeon. or mixed well. You had to ask the waiter how to eat..The reason they gave you scissors is because cold noodles are cold and tough noodles, so you have to cut it three or four times with scissors.
That is great to know! Thank you for sharing that great information :)
The building right after the village area is the National Court of Constitution of Korea(Supreme court for Constitutional cases).
That is good to know! Thanks for the information :)
For Korean travel, Google maps doesn't work very well.
Highly recommend Naver Maps, Kakao Maps or City Mapper (only Seoul but most English friendly)
That is great information! Thank you so much for sharing :)
2:35 the floors and the culums were built for the addressing of Kings in ChoSun Dynasty to spread King's voice well around the palace to the people sitting on the floor listening up in 15c.
That is so interesting! Thank you for sharing that information :)
i recommend to go to mountain in seoul..there re 4-5mountains in seoul. u can trail 4-7 hours in a mountain.and u can reach moutain by bus or subway easily.
after climbing mountain. u eat pageon and makgeoli and return home, showering and sleeping..that gives u best deep sleep
That sounds amazing! The mountains around Seoul are gorgeous. Thank you for the recommendation :)
Thank you for visiting Korea.
Cold noodles are what Koreans eat a lot in summer.
Bibim naengmyeon is spicy.
The reason why the noodles are chewy is because they are made with only sweet potato starch.
Scissors are used to cut and eat long noodles.
I hope you have a pleasant and happy trip to Korea.
That makes sense. It was so interesting eating cold noodles for the first time but now we love it! Thanks for much for your comment :)
FYI, It's not made with sweet potato starch, but, it's made with buckwheat
@@june-kachner4935 No. Buckwheat noodle is not chewy. That chewy noodle is made with sweet potato starch.
@@user-ze4rf3cl2m Just chiming in. It is buckwheat noodle. The noodle is dense and very bouncy.
Glad to see you guys enjoying Seoul. Seoul is a beautiful city and also very safe. Northern part of Seoul is more of a traditional area and down below south is a bit more modern. Enjoy!
Seoul is such a beautiful city! We love the mountains. Thanks for the information and thanks for watching :)
The sissor is for to cut the cold noodle. Once you cut into 4 cross section, you need to mix it up with sauce which will losen up the cold noodle and noodle will flavor with the sauce.
That is great to know! Thank you for the information :)
한국에 오신걸 환영합니다~~ 좋은추억 많이 만들어 가세요~~^^♥
Thank you so much! It is a beautiful place😍
Happy you to have the first 10,000 subs in Korea. It seems to have a lot of Korean subs including me by seeing
that so many Korean writers.
I think that you forgot to visit Ikseon-dong, the most cheerful cafe alley right next to Insa-dong.
Yes we are so happy to hit 10,000 and so thankful for everyone subscribing! Darn too bad we missed that :( thanks so much for watching and subscribing :)
This video is going to do great, but if you fell in the stream it would go viral. Seoul is sooo beautiful!
Hahaha dang 😂 missed opportunity
The thing looks like photato is actually radish. That's radish kimchi. Scissors are food scissors. In Korea, we have food scissors to cut food. You need to cut the cold noodle with scissors and mix them together and eat them. ^^ Welcome to Korea, even though I live in SG now.
That is great to know! Thank you for the information! And we love Singapore as well, we were just there and it is amazing :)
서울에서 즐거운시간보내세요❤
Thank you so much! Seoul is amazing 😍
I always thought my country was just a bunch of problems and now all those smiles and excitements on your face make me to think again! Thanks!
It is easy to see all the negatives in your own country, we do that with our home country as well. We are glad to give you a fresh perspective on it :) thanks so much for watching friend!
Now we are in rainy season... so i hope u guys spend a safe tour😅
It has been great so far! Thanks for watching :)
Thanks for your nice videos about Seoul. If you like mountains, there are so many trail accesses to the mountains around Seoul from the city. I recommend the Seoul N tower on the namsan mountain.
Seoul is a wonderful place! We for sure need to check out the trails. Thanks for the advice :)
So happy to see you guys trying new things and exploring Seoul after that stressful first day. It is a fantastic city full of things to do and eat. Please don't hesitate to ask the servers for recommendations and how to eat the food. Most places specialize in particular food and would love to help you learn how to enjoy them properly. Happy exploring.
Yes we are so happy this day was sooo much better then the first day! That is great to know! Thank you so much for watching :)
I love your videos, your vibe and your sincere appreciation for Korean culture. Seoul is amazing. Also hope you're able to make it to Busan. It's lovely.
We are so happy you enjoy our videos! Seoul is gorgeous. We are heading to Busan after Seoul :) thanks so much for watching!
Every country has their own history and some sort of heritigies and dignities for themselves, but you guys from America, you'll be able to feel and aware of older, greater history and heritagies of other people of countries like Korea than America... No need to think or try to study, but just feel it and imagine how the other people have lived so far on how well and in what circumstances, so on... Have fun and times for thinking...
It is wonderful seeing all of the history! We love it. Thanks so much for watching :)
Yes the scissor is for cutting the neng myun noodle. I guess it's an acquired taste because most people aren't used to cold noodles, but it's one of the more popular dishes in SK, especially in the summer time.
We definitely need to cut the noodles next time haha! Thanks for the tip :)
I'm just bookmarking 10k subs here. Because I know this channel is going to blow up and I'm going to look back and know I was right 😉. These guys are awesome!
You are the best!! Thank you so much for those encouraging words, they mean a lot to us♥️
That is very spicy noodle. Sometimes i can't even finish eating that. I recommend korean sweet beef rib. It's called
"Galbi Jim" i guarantee you won't be disappointed. Make sure you order non spicy beef rib.
Ooo we will for sure try that! Thank you for the recommendation ☺️
I'm enjoying your videos in Seoul. Thanks for exploring!

냉면은 양념이랑 비빈 다음 가위로 잘라 먹어요 ㅎㅎ 즐거운 여행 되시길~~
That is great to know! Thank you for the information :)
I love your attitude of wonder and discovery! My mind is so blown that you never had even tried kimchi before going to Korea but that's an amazing first experience. Korean food is only recently becoming more known in the states, it's very strange to the typical American palette but it's so healthy and delicious.
Thank you friend!! We loved the kimchi! It is great that it is so healthy for you! Have a great day :)
긍정적 에너지가 넘치는 커플이네요.
영상을 보는게 즐겁습니다.😊
We are so happy you enjoy our videos :) thank you very much for watching!
I subscribe your channel because of your Korean tour. I was born in Seoul and raised in Seattle and I miss food and people. As you noticed they are super nice and thoughtful I have cancer and doing chemo and radiation so I can’t get outside but one day I would love to travel all over the world like you guys . Be safe and stay healthy I pray for your happiness. 😊
We are so happy you enjoy our Korea videos!! We were in Seattle a little bit ago too and it was great! We will be sending prayers and love your way as you go through chemo. We hope you will be able to travel soon, even if it is just a little trip ♥️
When you eat Naengmyeon, cut it using scissors first , and mix it well ^^
That is great to know! Thanks for the information :)

냉면은 가위를 이용해 십자크로스로 두번 잘라서 먹으면 뭉친것도 잘풀어지고 편하게 먹을수 있어요^^
We will do that next time! Thank you for sharing :)
멋진 추억을 많이 만드시고 건강하시고 행복하시길 바랍니다
Thank you for your kind words! We truly appreciate them :)
8:09 First you have to scissor it with a cold noodle cross, then you have to mix the noodles with chopsticks and eat it
We will do that next time🙌🏼 thanks for the information :)
What about including the scene about getting help from local person in the video ? It would be nicer because we can feel the way how they talk for helping foreigner.
We did include two people in our "Koreans are the nicest video" which we posted right before this :) but of course we don't want to film anyone without their permission! Thanks for watching!!
It seems like I go on a trip of seoul, thank you for your videos
It is a wonderful place! We are so happy you are enjoying our videos! Thank you for watching :)

Thank you for coming to Korea. I hope you have a great trip🙏
It has been wonderful! Thanks for watching :)
It's so fun to see you both discovering everything spontaneously!
Thank you so much!! We love just going out and seeing what we can find :)
As for your comment about residents building businesses in their homes, many people in the U.S. did that, even as little back as 40 years ago in the cities. They would have the ground floor of their home used as a business. However, these cities started putting in restrictive zoning laws which made it so much more difficult to do that.
That is very interesting. Thank you for sharing :) we appreciate it!
두분 항상 건강하시고 즐거운 여행 하고 행복하세요 ... ^^
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much ♥️

You two are too cute. Your simple joy in discovering Asian cuisine and how you are so honest makes you two a treasure among TH-camrs who can not give a honest opinion. Keep it up.
Welcome to KOREA 😊

한국에 오셨네요
즐거운 여행 되시고 맛있는거 많이 드세요.. ^^

In Korean restaurants, the usage of scissors is to cut food => noodles & meat.
They are super useful!! Thanks for watching :)
There is an app that helps you travel to Korea, and it is Naver Map and Papago.Korea is in a war truce and Google Maps is not working well because of military security.
That is great to know! Thank you for that information :)
It's so fun to see you explore the northern part of the city (Kangbuk) where I grew up, hitting those tourist attractions accidently and successfully. 3:55 If you wear traditional costume, the admission is free, and there are usually multiple rental shops around palaces. 6:47 It's called Insa-dong, (it's the place where travelers go for traditional souvenirs) and the restaurant you went to is famous for cold noodle and dumplings.
We saw so many people in traditional clothing! That is good to know! Thanks for all the good information :)
항상 웃는 모습이 기분좋아지게 하네요
더운데 오늘은 나도 냉면을 먹어야지 😊
7:24 한국인도 김치만 먹지는 않아요 매워서 밥이랑 먹거든요
We are so happy to hear that! You are so kind :) thank you very much friend!
I hope you had enjoyed and understood Korea and Korean culture ❤❤❤

Thanks for the great information :)
Beautiful couple in beautiful Seoul😍
Thank you so much friend ♥️
아이고.. 냉면은 그냥 먹으면 안되고 골고루 섞어서(비벼서) 먹어야 합니다...ㅜㅠ
Naengmyeon should not be eaten as it is, but must be mixed (rubbed) evenly before eating...^^
That is good to know!! Thanks so much for the information :)
Welcome to Seoul. You are adorable. If you come visit Korea later, want to show you around and also serve good meal. Safe trip :)

Hey! You guys came so close to where I live.
That is awesome! Such a beautiful place. Thanks for watching :)
There was literally a pair of scissors for the noodles on the table lol
try galbee!
Haha we weren't sure but now we know! Thanks for watching!
I recommend you to walk in the secret garden which is called back garden of the Chang Deok palace. Chang Deok palace is the most beautiful.
The secret garden pictures did look amazing! Thanks for the tip :)
Have lived here for a decade. If Seoul is the most beautiful city you've been to then I can't imagine the conditions of where you came from.
Hahaha, what do you think is the most beautiful city?? We also love Vancouver 😍
I'm sure that someone mentioned that the noodles are usually cut into 4 partions. One cut in half vertically and one cut in half horizontally, basically making the shape of a cross where it has been cut. I personally don't cut my noodles, because I like the chewy texture and for me, by cutting the noodles, some of that chewiness goes away. As for that cubed vegetable, it is a radish. It's one form of hundreds of types of kimchi. It's called kkadugi.
Yes it is good to know now! We will have to try the noodles again and cut them. Thanks so much for all the great information :)
Enjoy korea 😊😊😊
It has been wonderful! Thank you for watching :)
The city of Seoul is so clean and modern.
Yes it is! That is part of why we love it :)
@@JacobandJennyTravel thank you for sharing! 💯
Korea traffic system is perfect! It will be very convenient if you use the subway to go anywhere!
That is great to know! Thanks for watching :)
Haha! Yes, the scissors are there to cut the noodles. Also, scissors are commonly used in Korean culture to cut food. It's actually quite handy
That is great to know! And makes sense now haha!! Thanks for the information :)
The cold noodles is sort of an acquired taste, I used to find it hard to eat but I'm a fan now.
That is interesting! It has definitely grown on us too. Thanks for watching :)
Very interesting!! I eat kimchee daily, it is good for digestion and it tastes great 😊
It is so delicious! Do you make it yourself??
@@JacobandJennyTravel afraid not. Get it at Walmart
Write it as Changdeok palace. ...Gung means Palace. Anyway Welcome to Korea.
That is good to know! Thanks for the tip :)
Naengmyeon is a very unfamiliar food, right?
Cut the noodles 1 or 2 times with the scissors next to it, mix them well, and eat it to taste the real naengmyeon.
Even so, cold noodles will be unfamiliar. Haha
Experience and enjoy many things.
Thank you for visiting Korea.
That is great to know!! Thanks for all the good information :)
try galbee!
We will thanks so much for the suggestion :)
