Well product's longevity is very much dependent on the way it is being treated. As we know, previously there has been conspiracy on apple limiting their products such as the IPod but I found them as good as any other. Apple has done one thing right and they are still going strong. Yes they aren't the best company when it comes to products but when it come to compatibility, making their own hardware and software creates a stable system to work with. That all being said, I do believe that pc's have the tendency to be better but also stability is compromised as there are so many different components for one software and making them all work is a maze. I do find it annoying that it is not user upgradable or serviceable but then again a lot of tech these days isn't such as TV's, cameras, and much more and we are't complaining because we are used to it.
