Altimezzz has a good point about Lei's rage drives! The only issue is if Lei can pull off his rage drive,"off the bat," like every other character, he won't be unique anymore. Also, Lei would only have one rage drive instead of multiple. I like Lei the way he is, that's why there isn't a lot of Lei players out there.
He could just have an additional RD from neutral, I dont see what the problem is? CRN and DRG ones are garbage anyway, in reality you either use PNT or TGR for the mixup or TGR in combos. ff+3, 3+4, mid ender that does blue spark bound launch and connects after ff+3 connects. Done. I dont mind, though, I'm still playing him.
i end up using dragon rage drive after doing the wolf strike multiple times.. i condition them to expect the high kick then pull the trigger on the rage drive... it works alot of the times and if they block they usually get pushed into the wall where i can mix them up with tiger right after.
As always awesome content, I wish more people took this approach when discussing a character, not just for changes, but also for general character knowledge. You and TMM are a godsend for starting a character; experienced or new to tekken, or general counter strats for a character. Good work bruv
With mixup at 22:00 lei now joined leroy d3,2 or hwoarang mixups style. Had a Tekken King session today i so often had a 70% life lead with kazumi just to loose my life in 5 seconds with such a mixup and a launch after. At the end i just did random low parrys or df2 high crushing as my anti mixup leading to a toxic match. But i see a good lei like once a month or less.
Nice video I just started playing less than a week ago and I’ve liked playing lei so far. There’s a lot to to him which seems good and bad but getting a hang of his stances and neutral mix ups seems to be the best thing to do for now. I’m gonna wait to practice combos tho
Can someone tell me how I get motivated and learn how to play Tekken properly like my dream is use Lei, Law and Jin since I was a kid when I first time played at PS1 at least decent but for me I'm kinda new at fighting games so Tekken is soooooo hard man and when I was a kid I played like press random buttons at every fighting games but only 2 years ago I been playing at least decent in one of them and now I really want to learn and be part of this community, if someone can tell me I will be very happy 🙏🏻
Just practice and have fun with it. It takes many hours to get good with a single character. Especially if you’re just getting back into Tekken. TH-cam guides will help you breakdown characters, and their most important moves.
