Lost in the Atlas: A Day Trip Adventure to Imlil Village

We left Marrakech early and we witnessed the earthquake devastation as we drove to Imlil. The journey to Imlil can take your breath away. The road is twisted and interesting. The aftermath of the earthquake was a moving experience.The earthquake of 8th September 2023 and we were there 22nd October 2023
We went on a guided Imlil Village Walk Exploring the village offered a glimpse into the local way of life and the ongoing recovery efforts. Walking through the village allowed us to interact with the Berber community and witness their resilience in the face of hardship.
We visited a women's cooperative for Argan Oil, visiting the cooperative highlights the support for local women and their economic empowerment. We learned about the traditional production process of Argan oil and contributed to the community's livelihood by buying some of their products
