I built this antenna and I'm getting around 10db improvement on my phone signal which is quite nice given I'm using exactly that wrapping technique he is using and not plugging it in as an external antenna. I do suggest using a voltmeter to check that the disk on which you soldered the cables and the other end of the cable have continuity. That way you know for sure whatever signal your 3G/4G gun is detecting is being sent down the cable.
Ok, now I will feel free to ask. Should you have continuity between inner and outer part of coaxial cable? Because in a way how it looks from video, ground shield and central pin are connected to a 2 different disks, but through the middle they are all on same shaft!?
Cool, I'm putting a 196.3×81.7mm waveguide antenna right now with a little bit of an experimental ground reference plane. Just need to cut and attach the front of the guide, but so far everything matches the nominal layout to a tolerance smaller than my eyes can resolve so I'm excited about this one. I've also ordered some short path connectors so I can cut the signal path from the reciever to the modem down to the lenght of the actual element, and usb can handle the signal from there as it works without percieved loss. My setup is for 2.437Ghz or chan 6 (us).
This works well with the indoor coaxial nodes tied perpendicular to each other and placed beneath my phone. Now, is there any way to create indoor unit to broadcast signals wirelessly indoors..?
Hey guys, I'd like to know how you came up with the dimensions for these antennas? Did you used some software calculator or some formulas? I would like to know as I am going to make an antenna with specific frequency for my 4G LTE provider.

Looks like a good idea, some of those speeds are faster than what i am getting although I am paying for the lower speed so that is fair enough. I liked the clock in the background it reminded me of one of those Radium painted dials.
you actually created a short on your yagi. The 2nd large disk needs to be isolated from the main nut and screw going through it. This will greatly increase your signal. you can use plastic or duct tape to create that shielding.
I'm from a vilage that so far from my town. No internet connection in my vilage. Thanks for your show. I want to make my own boster. Can you show clearly me all of spesification of materials?
Could you use one of these antenna designs to make a drone-Killing Kalashnikov Gun? Basically send enough signal out at a drone operating frequency to make it lose contact with its pilot?
Could you please let me know the setup configuration for 2300MHz for 4G signal. You have awesome knowledge of network and I really really love it. Keep making these type of videos. Thank you.

Hi, please make the measurement for 4G LTE Band 40, it is 2300 MHz. My Telkomsel in Indonesia uses this new band for 4G LTE. Thanks for your great ideas
Could you use a longer cable if you bought some of that expensive type with low impedance for higher frequencies? Because I know standard RG6/59 has pretty high impedance in the gigahertz range.
Dear sir, Can we make two units of this gun. One unit for outdoor rooftop as a receiver from network provider & Another unit for indoor as a transmitter to my 4g android smartphone? Will this system work?
Can you make 4 Guns simultaneous and orient them to the 4 cardinal points? I think it will cover most signals for 12 km radius, and you will have signal from any direction, or will it interfere with each other?
Hello guys, you did a very nice job. I'll do this antenna on my dacha in carpathian mountains in Poland this summer because of weak signal. Can I ask you how tick is this copper plate?
do you think it would make any sense to use this in the deep woodlands, where i cannot set it above the treetops (i have some signal but its too weak)?
Difficult to believe with just an antenna to get very high signal...even with an amplifier booster it would only increase just average...the point with weak signal is even a slight of wind can change the intensity..if you are only using antenna....or with additional of booster it will stabilize the signal consistently
good day thank you for the video I have build this antenna and it works perfect the problem I found is that I get -51dbi with it but our local carrier only supports 900mhz to 1800mhz can you please make a video of 1800 or 2100mhz or give the dimensions or a site where i can get them Regards Johan

@@coolerd77 Supposedly it actually works better when you insulate the shaft from the soldered disk
It's a strange feeling to watch someone have such a firm grasp of the engineering topics that are my weakest points.
I built this 4G gun myself. I can't believe it actually work. Thank you from America!
Much more details than the previous GUN
Every body gangsta until the USSR engineer gets better speeds with a custom made antenna and a *3g* sim than your ADSL.
You guys are the best!
Awesome videos dude! You are very smart and inspirational. The world needs more people like you.
the voice over is insanely fun!
Literally rewatched the first wifi gun videos yesterday, lol
imagine being friend with this guy and you can visit him daily? I wouldn't miss a day
I've never seen any 3G connections work faster like this! Thanks for demonstrating.
That's insane! I should really try doing this myself, I have -100dB normally.
-100 dB is equivalent to -70 dBm, so that's not too bad actually
have you made this antenna

Also use 50 ohm cable good quality keep lengths as short as possible and use 50 ohm connectors as tv n satellite are all 75ohm , lte is 50 ohm
Hey guys, I'd like to know how you came up with the dimensions for these antennas? Did you used some software calculator or some formulas? I would like to know as I am going to make an antenna with specific frequency for my 4G LTE provider.
There's schematics online.
The formula is
Lightspeed / TargetFrequency = Wavelength
the diameter has to be half of the wavelength you want to produce/emit/receive
the second disk, the supplier, needs to be insulated from the rest. If you put on amp it will blow amp.

Dorrien North one may wish to research electrostatics for blocking such signals. Pretty sure we'll see someone's going to try microwaving the world.
That would be called jamming... dji has a product like this to bring down their own drones over restricted airspace
