    Every body gangsta until the USSR engineer gets better speeds with a custom made antenna and a *3g* sim than your ADSL.

    Looks like a good idea, some of those speeds are faster than what i am getting although I am paying for the lower speed so that is fair enough. I liked the clock in the background it reminded me of one of those Radium painted dials.

    Cool, I'm putting a 196.3×81.7mm waveguide antenna right now with a little bit of an experimental ground reference plane. Just need to cut and attach the front of the guide, but so far everything matches the nominal layout to a tolerance smaller than my eyes can resolve so I'm excited about this one. I've also ordered some short path connectors so I can cut the signal path from the reciever to the modem down to the lenght of the actual element, and usb can handle the signal from there as it works without percieved loss. My setup is for 2.437Ghz or chan 6 (us).

    I built this antenna and I'm getting around 10db improvement on my phone signal which is quite nice given I'm using exactly that wrapping technique he is using and not plugging it in as an external antenna. I do suggest using a voltmeter to check that the disk on which you soldered the cables and the other end of the cable have continuity. That way you know for sure whatever signal your 3G/4G gun is detecting is being sent down the cable.

    • @coolerd77
      @coolerd77 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ok, now I will feel free to ask. Should you have continuity between inner and outer part of coaxial cable?
      Because in a way how it looks from video, ground shield and central pin are connected to a 2 different disks, but through the middle they are all on same shaft!?

    • @SSIcely
      @SSIcely 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@coolerd77 Supposedly it actually works better when you insulate the shaft from the soldered disk

    • @Jorissoris

      -100 dB is equivalent to -70 dBm, so that's not too bad actually

  • @MisterLepton
    @MisterLepton 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Could you use a longer cable if you bought some of that expensive type with low impedance for higher frequencies? Because I know standard RG6/59 has pretty high impedance in the gigahertz range.

    I have a question if you can solve pls. I made a yagi antenna which i mounted on roof which capturing good signals, on other hand (receiving end) there is no antenna. So i want to know if there is any antenna that can receive the signals from yagi antenna and spread those signals to my mobile phone. I shall be very thankful to you if you solve my problem. also note, i do not want to use any wifi or any dongle. what i need is an antenna at the end which receives signals and spreads those to my mobile. Thank you.
