As a sole trader carpenter, i love your work inspector, i cannot believe it not a sight of primer before membrane, thats crazy, i have done tiling for 30 years and always been aware of ingress water leaking into vanity and kitchens kickboards when you see on this video, very simple prevention is to install vanity or cabinets after floor tiling is done.
I think I am learning about Building and Construction more by watching your videos than I have been from doing a Cert IV and Diploma of Building and Construction. I think if you organise a Building Inspector course, I will be the first one to sign up for that and be your first student. I think it is not a bad Business Idea to organise a course for Building Inspectors.
@@BaGaBwithaB Hahaha I’m about to start a waterproofing job with no experience and within 2 minutes I’ve already learnt 2 fundamentals 😂 This guy is the best
I have been watching your videos for 3 hours and I have learnt a-lot from wrapping the water trap to the perimeter and most importantly primer before membrane and transition from wall to floor flexible sealant must be 12mm. I am too old become a water proofer at age 38?
Just a note on measuring the 12mm bond breaker. To my understanding, it does not need to be an angled fillet- in the past I have created 12mm cove shape in junctions, using large wooden 'paddle pop' stick. Your testing tool would fail mine, even though the curved cove would measure 12mm. Is it required to have it angled like the tool?
Pride doesn't fill the bank account! But!... Doing the best it can be, not the best you can do!... The best it can be does provide a little meaning and self value.
People pay top money and spend half their lives paying off a house,Yet you see tradies and builders with i don't give a shit attitude or cut corners to go home early by tradies, i see no love for their jobs quality wise in these tradies !!
yes that looks like Gripset waterproofing membrane ( with its blue colour), not sure the guy who did waterproofing understand and follow the data sheet provided by Gripset, not to mention, his dodgy workmanship, its just unbelievable to see that there is no waterstop installed on the doorway and around shower screen area. The guy is cluless and didn't follow AS3740
Surely that imbedded cardboard vanity would have compromised that water proofing system, in my view these outdated building practices should be corrected. @anthonyreid66 is in the right hole my friends.

What would be really helpful is to see some examples of installations that have been done correctly so we can see what it should look like thanks
Exactly. I'm struggling to understand what I should be looking at. A reference point would be great
Standard for Australian construction. She'll be right mate.
Great video. As a sparky we wont cut or fit off the eave vents until the painting is done so the painters don’t have to worry about it.

@@hustlersmelody9641 Indeed ! I think Zeher should start teaching. His own Building Inspection Academy
Love seeing the new measuring devices. Very cool.
There must be case for termination of the contract due to licensee not completing the works diligently

Whats the standard for labelling duct work? Ive installed more ductwork then i care to cpunt, and i know none of my mates in the industry would either
Where is the pride? Very sad for the families buying these homes.

@@cryptodojoau5425 people should take pride in the work they do, no matter if they hate it.
"should" doesn't solve the problem!
The problem is the market tolerates this.
Take out a $200,000 dollar loan and all of a sudden your chained to a substandard dwelling with foam cladding on the 2nd level. The Australian way.
100% agreed.
200,000? you couldnt buy a shed for that in melbourne
Top coat should not be applied where waterproofing is taken place, nothing sticks to top coat
What a complete joke the construction industry has allowed to become.
The market's demanding this sort of thing. How do we know?
The market isn't eliminating it!

Point of order on the drinking on site
have you ever been to any inspection there are actually decent or is this just run of the mill?
Are there any honest builders?
Yes but very few. Also its not the builders but remember its the tradies who are doing the work
Yep!
Here's some honesty...
I'm going to cost you more!
Are you prepared to pay?

No primer before membrane added. I'm not even a water proofer to see that that.
I feel sick watching this.
Do you sell a flabbergaster gauge?
Wow bro
👍👍👍
Theres no primer at all that other shit is him getting the water out of his roller for the second coat.
Gripset primer is milky white or pink.
👍
What a crappy job.

Why doesn't VBA include such kind of practitioner series as CPD thing for all the waterproofers:
