      Your techer is not good....it doesn't mean all Indian techers make it tooooo difficult....if you wanna example for best techers then one of the example is Physicswallah,L2 sir.....go and check there lecture......after that complain about whole India

    I read and read the section in the book and had no idea of how to determine the hybridization, after the sección example here, everything seems clear. Thank you! I wish you have another video with how to determine SeF4 because the answer is sp3d.

      Se does not follow the octet rule. In the molecule SeF4, Se has four single bons with fluorine as well as a lone pair. Therefore, it has 5 groups. He doesn't show the d's in the video because they are not as common, but after sp3, you can have sp3d and sp3d2, for 5 and 6 groups. Hope this helps

    Super cool overall, learned that H2O is always going to be group 4 and the hybridization SP3. It's hydrogens will each only be 1 group with S hybridization.
