      Understanding the meaning of the chanting and giving efforts to apply such meaning into each moment of our everyday life counts as an essential Buddhist practice for me.

    I listen to alot of the buddhas teachings... people who know I'm a buddhist ask me questions and I talk to them about buddhs dharma.. 4 noble truths, 8th fold noble path, middle way, karma, impedance, the buddhas journey to enlightenment... in a small way I'm a bodhisattva?

      Yes, you are a bodhiasattva. Thank you for doing an excellent service in this world! You will enlarge your bodhisattva activity by seeing everyone--those whom you communicate with--as a bodhisattva for you.

      Happy birthday to your grandma! Today she turned 90. Did she become a Buddhist when she was 50 years old? I'd love to know more about her and stories between you and her.

    The Bodhisattva strive to allow all human beings , suffering living beings , to enter the Path of One Buddha way as far as I can Understand Buddha was only concerned about sufferings and pain caused by all sorts of attachments , but I do not study I only passing by in life and come across teachings of all sorts , to Understand at best , when these have a purpose worth to lend an ear to .

      Yes, not completely becoming someone different but being the truest VERSION as the same person is so key to this. I'm glad the video resonated with you!

    What do you think of the Christian concept of Theosis, apotheosis or divinization (in the Latin tradition) being the purpose of human existence as stated by the ancient Christian churches. Is it the same in principle to the message in the Lotus sutra?
    Would love some feed back especially from people who understands the Christian concept I proposed, as most Christians (Protestants) haven't a clue about the Catholic, Orthodox Church teaching of these concept and may say that it even heretical, even though that isn't true from Church documentation on the subject through out history until present day.

      Thanks for your comment. Could you elaborate about "Christian concept of Theosis, apotheosis or divinization (in the Latin tradition) being the purpose of human existence as stated by the ancient Christian churches." I am not familiar with this.

      @@AwakenYourInnerBuddha What is a person who is a fully realized Buddha, God or man?

    • @TryingToFollowChrist37
      @TryingToFollowChrist37 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@AwakenYourInnerBuddha Theosis or deification (deification may also refer to apotheosis, lit. "making divine"), is a transformative process whose aim is likeness to or union with God, as taught by the Eastern Catholic Churches and the Eastern Orthodox Church; the same concept is also found in the Latin Church of the Catholic Church, where it is termed "divinization". As a process of transformation, theosis is brought about by the effects of catharsis (purification of mind and body) and theoria ('illumination' with the 'vision' of God). According to Eastern Christian teachings, theosis is very much the purpose of human life. It is considered achievable only through synergy (or cooperation) of human activity and God's uncreated energies (or operations).

    Strange to think how women were unable to attain Buddhahood until they incarnated as men. Makes you wonder how the Buddha could be so misogynistic - being as how he was so enlightened and compassionate. You have to question who REALLY formulated all this stuff.? Donald S. Lopez has a good book out on The Lotus Sutra, discussing it's history. It's hard to take seriously something written 400 - 500 years after the death of the Buddha. I always wonder, if the Bodhisattva path was the true one vehicle, and these events happened PRIOR to the Buddha's death, why wasn't it included in the Pali canon? Seems suspiciously like a delayed revelation technique - common in religions - to promote the Mahayana.
