    That does look great. The issue with hitch mounted accessories is that they reduce departure angles, i.e., makes it worse. So, depending on the type of trails you travel, this might not be an issue. It's definitely easier and less expensive than the alternative, but at the expense of departure angles. Thanks for showing us this swing arm.

    I understand what you mean. I just installed my bundle on my Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk v8.. looks great.

      Seriously, it just looks great and fits perfectly. RIGd did an excellent job making this. There was only one downside, the instructions for the table did not match the mount I received - it was easy to figure out though…

    I always have to ask, is there anything to deter anyone from stealing the spare tire?

      Seems gross. Using a cutting board left out in the open.

    When you first pushed open that handle. I was like ouch. I feel like with time it’s going to get harder to open.

    • @StixOutdoorsOfficial
      @StixOutdoorsOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah… it’s not that bad once you get used to it. But in the 10 degree weather over the last month - it has been pretty difficult to open. I had to blow torch the pin one time. So not the best for cold climates

    i have pretty much the same setup, and I hate the Rigd handle. It scratches the hatch door when not fully pushed back. I have replaced the rigd handle with a PNW bike grip which is longer and silicone so it no longer scratchs and is easier to open and close. I really wish they put the handle on the outside so that your now pushing your hand into the hatch.

      That’s what I noticed too. I don’t like that design at all. I think there other models all have it on the outside

      @rachel7550 yes, I needed to clean it then spray it with bed liner. It's been great so far. They did have powder coat issues on their first go. I think they since use a different powder coater and are good now

    • @rachel7550
      @rachel7550 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brandocommando6593 that’s cool… I kind of want one for my sprinter van to have access to the back while having a lightweight bike and kayak rack attached, but not sure if opening it up every time I want to access the back doors of the sprinter would be a hassle or not. Does it feel easy to open? I would just get a cheaper plain swing arm but none of them seem durable from reviews

    • @brandocommando6593
      @brandocommando6593 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rachel7550 nit a hassle to open at all. I have this in a 4runner and love it. I'd highly recommend getting the table with it. I also carry two mountain bikes on it and no issues.

      @@brandocommando6593 that is awesome… I really want it but nervous to pull the trigger since I’m stretched w the van build & still wanting to have money to travel lol. 1.) Did you relocate the back-up camera 2.) If you did not have you found it to be cumbersome at all? I drove without one for years but do like the feature and not sure how visibility with a tire in the rear will be. Thanks from Colorado.

    I found that mounting my spare tire underneath or on the roof so much easier, so much cheaper, and there's no interference with the license plate, the backup camera, and the rear door and window.
    Also I don't have to worry about backing out of tight places such as parking lots.
    I place a lot of value with the rear sliding window when I am hauling things like lumber or anything longer than 6 feet.

    • @Rnd0209
      @Rnd0209 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes that rear window mmmm baby. That is the icing on the cake for the 4runner. If they loose that feature in the 6th Gen like they did on the new Sequoia that will be very sad.
