Their outfits have been really sharp this year but Link looked like my mechanic in this episode & Rhett looked like my neighbor who will only speak to you if you say 'hi' to his miniature schnauzer first.
Babish did all ramens a bit back, and Top Ramen was above all of Maruchan and most of the Buldaks were on the top ranking, except for the insanely spicy ones IIRC
Rhett's first score is pretty sad too. The chicken flavor is the best of all of their flavors. I don't care for the creamy chicken, beef, pork flavors and the shrimp flavor is nasty. Only score I agreed with was the picante. Maruchan ramen is nowhere near as good as imported package ramen like Mi Goreng.
It baffles me that he’s technically going as low as 2.1 or 3.5 when he says 21 or 35. Nothing is that low if so it’s borderline inedible his scale makes no sense
The scale in which both of them rate makes total sense. Link scores below 50% if he dislikes what he’s eating (which is a lot of things). Rhett thinks 50% is a fail or a F is school. There for Rhett barely scores below 50% because Rhett likes almost everything.

Anyone else always want to interpret 0 to 50 as somewhere between "horrid" and "I don't really like it" while 50 to 100 is something between "I kind of like it" and "absolutely amazing"? I don't think Link has that concept in his head during these gut checks.
1-100 and 1-10 are essentially the same thing considering a 50 would be middle ground and a 5 would be too, if I was scaling 1-100 and gave a 67 I would just think of it as a 6.7

Nothing will ever be as good as the discontinued Chicken Mushroom flavor. I remember my dad making it for me as a kid, was able to find a few more times at a local grocery shop before it was gone forever.
