Work just perfect. i had put 4.7uf at input and output. Output to protect the hp. R: 1k all ok, used a Tip31, mostly same as 41.

Try putting a bit of heat sink compound in the back of the transistor. It will extend it’s life.

Urm, your speaker will have DC offset, it shall not live long at all.
