  • Morocco National Team is set to take on Republic of Congo & Zambia. With Walid Regragui continuing to work on a good squad for the next AFCON, we take a look at all the player selected for June. Here are my thoughts on this squad.

Its overall a good squad but the team misses height. Tall players as kandouss massina yamiq needed for defence and corners.
Harit was really needed but he has a feud with regragui.
Saiss and abqar are in my opinion not needed because lack of stamina and chaotic play of abqar.
Rahimi is doubtfull because Morocco has better players in his place

There were definitely questionable decision from Regragui. But out of all of them, it’s Saiss being recalled that annoyed me.

It is important to include Moroccan-grown talent like Rahimi in the squad if you want Morocco to improve instead of always importing only Moroccans born abroad.

@@nazlitechschool rahimi dari nessyri ounahi benabid are all local players who got transfered.
Talents play in european competitions where the competition is high and not in the middle east. Morocco in general doesnt have good trainers and facilities to locally create good players thats the reason we have players who play outside

@@DimaMorocco11 saiss got experience but the guy lacks stamina and not because of his age but lack of discipline. Middle east competitions make players lazy

That is the more reason why Moroccan locally bred players must be supported and promoted when they play well anywhere they are. There is no law or rule saying only players who play in Europe are successful. The local-bred Moroccan players give everything when they play for Morocco, we have seen that many times(Rahimi, Ounahi, Aguerd, etc). If you want Morocco to ever improve there should be less dependence on always importing Moroccan players born abroad and more focus on Moroccan players in Morocco as there are many talented ones in Morocco. Rahimi can play like any other player without a difference, he played and made a difference in his last game with Morocco, so what are you saying. The complex of thinking Europe is always the best has to stop to improve as Regragui said before. How do you think Morocco excelled in the world cup 2022 with the help of Allah(S.W.T) too of course.@@Mauri7782
